Unhappy Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired!

This is day two post op ganglion block, and I've got to say not much has changed. Day one there was some relief, but my arm felt like the RSD/CRPS just waiting there dormant...if you know what I mean. I didn't have the burning, but the pins and needles crept up on me every so often. Day two things started to change for the worse. My thumb constantly twitches, and my arm feels very weak, with deep muscle spasms. I've had some sweating, and this was really new and weird my lips, nose, neck and face looks swollen.

I was never a small framed woman to begin with by I wasn't fat either. Since I've been on Cymbalta, and Zanx my weight has increased 30 pounds. But back to what I was saying. I'm just sick and tired of being sick and tired!

I've got somewhat of a delicate question. Does RSD/CRPS cause or contribute to incontinence? Two days ago I walked into the next room and it just happen! It was like your water breaking before giving birth!! Ever since I've been using the restroom every 2 hours. Nothing burns, nothing smells, nothing hurts, color is fine and it is a good even flow.

I've mention to the doctor once before that I was having dull deep contractions the kind you feel that reaches from your lower back to your front. He asked if I had been moving my bowels and I said, I don't have any problems in that area. He just looked at me like this. Don't know if I have RSD/CRPS II or what no one has said.

But I thank you for taking the time to read my post. Please get back to me if you have any suggestions

Hang in there That is all we can do. The longer I have had this... the more sick and tired I am of being sick and tired. Stay positive, and just keep moving, and keep moving forward. It is the only thing that we can do to stay sane... otherwise... it all goes downhill. Get something that you enjoy, and do it everyday to keep your joy up But keep a journal and write everything down if you can. That has helped me alot. On my phone, I have an app that I just talk into and it types it up for me which helps alot with the arm acting like a $%*!. :P Its all we can do!!!

Blocks never worked on me... It was only like a no fix. I have not had any problems in the other area, except going to the bathroom a million times a day when I barely drink anything!!!

Dont forget to pray!!!

Glad to see you got you SGB but sorry it didn't do much for your pain I know how you feel about being "sick and tired of being tired of being sick" , I love it, it fits perfect. Also about the weight gain I have gone up and down 60+ lbs more than once since I had my accident and I truly believe it was from some of the anti-depressent meds. I used to take also Lyrica was a killer for me as fas as weight gain it's a nightmare. I don't take any type of anti-depressant meds. or Lyrica type medication it all puts weight on for some people and a lot of weight. I'm on the way down again but I hope I never have to do this again. My closet has small, medium and large clothes it's crazy.

Hope you feel better.

Hi Gabbycakes, YES, I'm sick and tired of being a YO YO. I was on 3200mg of nuerotin for a long time. Cymbalta too. I gradually went off the neurotin and Lyrica and now for the LAST time losing the weight. I too have clothes in my closet that are from size 6,8,10,12,&14. I'm exercising and very excited about losing the weight. My husband says I'll never have to shop again- smiley face. Actually have quite a few clothes with tags still on them.
It's been 15 years for me-full body and internal. I'm so grateful for wonderful family and friends. Grateful I'm mobile and just crippled in one hand.
Have a wonderful Dr. so no hassles with meds. Live in Arizona, which is kinda tough in the summer with the heat on top of the burning pain. Am 62 and got RSD following surgery, but wasn't diagnosed for 4 years.
how about you? How are you doing? Hope you have a good and peaceful week. Your friend, loretta

Hi Loretta,

I have my ups and downs the humidity this summer is a killer. I am working Part Time and successfully got SSDI which of course took pressure off financially. I have lost about 25lbs so far and would like to lose at least 30 more. I have gained so much it's unbelievable. Thank god my personal life is normal, my children are older 16 and 19 so they really at this point just need guidance on there future plans and are truly good kids, not perfect, but just good kids. Have a good week.
