Unhappy feeling guilty.....

Hi all! today is my Birthday!! who-Hooooooooo!! Ok.. now I feel so darn quilty! ok.. my husband Bill comes into our bedroom with this huge cake, purple roses, whipped cream frosting.. yada.. yada.. a Birthday card, says he called our two son's to come over today and "celebrate"!! Ok.. I say, real mean.. and I mean bitchy!! I'm like.. Bill, just leave me alone, I'm in pain, having a bad day and I actually lock our bedroom door!!! here, my 7 yr. old daughter knocks on our door, comes into our bedroom door holding a hand made card, I take it thank her, kiss her and give her a hug, tells her mommy needs to sleep. Friends.. What in the heck is wrong with me today?? I mean, Bill surprises me, I am in pain and then I go off on him!!! I think this is terriable of me to do this to him!! All I want to do today is sleep, don't even want company, as I look like something that the dog "dragged in" I am feeling sorry for myself on my Birthday, take it out on him and now all I want to do is have no visitors.. etc. My son's called and said;"mom, we are coming over anyway"!! gosh, I feel like a blob just wanting peace and quiet, I am having "Break through pain" starting late lastnight. my hubby called my pain doc. and he told my hubby to come up there to his office, as FDA laws prohibit refills on this kadian and they are not allowed to give refills on this type of pain medication, or mail me the script. so he needs to pick it up. I so wanted today to be a good day for my Birthday, and as luck would have it.. I am having a rotton no good for nothing painful Birthday.. wish it was over. thanks for reading this far, as I know I am feeling sorry for myself that I HAD to get this darn pain starting late lastnight!! grrrrrrrrr.. thanks for the vent.. going back to bed. Maybe I'll feel better latter. BUT there is NO EXCUSE the way I went off on Bill!! talk about the guilt trip I'm laying on myself!! Love, hugs Desi

Aww sweetie,
Don't be to hard on yourself. Just tell Bill that you appreciate what he did, and you really didn't mean to take it out on him. Our pain doesn't understand birthdays, anniversaries, vacations or anything else. I hope after a little more sleep you feel better, and can enjoy the rest of the day. I'm sending very soft gentle hugs your way...(some people will do anything to get out of a birthday spanking lol)..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DESI!!!! WOO!!!

Anyway, I always find I'm like that on days I have been getting stressed about, even if I didn't realise that I was getting stressed about it!!!! (does that make sense? like my 21st I was a right cow to everyone because I felt rubbish and wanted to be on my own - I didn't want a celebration etc).

Anyhow, I hope that you started to feel better after a while and that the kadian helped!!

Love ya tons and tons

Oh darling, you have the most amazing family. The last time you posted about them your sons accepted the fact that you needed to go back to bed. Now it is your birthday (I will get to that later) and your family loves you so much-they will understand having your birthday surprise on another day.

Our lives revolve around this disorder. If it wants us to make it to the next moment without to much strife, then by golly it will, and vice versa.

Your family respects you and the fact that you have this disorder so much. You definitely raised your kids with love and admiration (I have admiration for you) and you definitely picked the diamond in the ruff when it came to your husband. I would, if it's not too much, call everyone into the room, all bring chairs (so they don't bump the bed) and ask for your birthday that they all give you one wonderful memory that they have about you.

After that is done, tell them I will enjoy my memories this evening, and we will enjoy my party later.

Hugs.
