I'm in MD/DC area too. I tried National Spine and Pain at first. They aren't bad, but weren't very knowledgeable/helpful about all the treatment options I wanted to try. If you want a doctor who won't be judgy about pain pills and other meds, they are great. I had a few spinal injections there too and they took good care of me during. When their treatments didn't work for me I left.
I have been going to a place called NAVA, which has a few locations in the area. It's a functional medicine place that doesn't take insurance. They do really comprehensive tests (they were the first docs to actually do a test that didn't come out as "perfectly fine", gluten and casein intolerance). They approach treatment from a natural perspective, so this is where you go to get quality supplements, diet help, massage, hyperbaric oxygen, acupuncture, etc. I haven't found one doctor that I truly feel like can help me. I may try NIH at some point, because they have offices around here too. I hope you find something good! |
