Nerve blocks

Not sure my daughter's blocks are the same as everyone else's, but our Pain dr felt he really needed a series of blocks for a cumulative effect. She rarely felt any relief after the first or second one, but by the fifth it was better. She never got complete relief from the blocks, but got enough to start moving her foot as the pain was less. He was also very concerned as to where the injection site was--he did take a couple of tries to get the right spot.

I was wondering about Dr Scott Fishman at Stanford? Is he only for pediatrics? I had a friend who took her daughter to his clinic.

As far as the implant, I guess I am not up on it as others here, but it seems from what I have read, that it isn't exactly a last resort but that there are many other less invasive therapies to try first. Physical therapy and alternative med stuff has helped many people.

Best of luck and welcome to the group.
