Heart Longgggggggggggg.. Day!!

Hi all my lovely friends on this board!
Well, I had an appointment with my PMD this morning and when I woke up, my throat was so sore, I couldn't talk!! So I called my PCD and he did a throat culture and sure enough.. strep throat! swollen glands..(My daughter had this 2 weeks ago and was on antibiotics for 10 days) yada.. yada so he gave me a shot and a z pack of antibiotics. then from there I went to my PMD Dr. who upped my Kadian(time released morphine medication from 30 mg. to 60 mg) He is the kindest most caring PMD anyone would ever have the pleasure of knowing!! If anyone is in the Ohio area and would like his name, phone # no.. etc. PM me and I will give all the info about him!! Right after seeing him, I went to PT which is right across from him. Gosh, I love it when she (I love that woman also.. LOL) put a nice warm pad all over my shoulder, arm, hand and wrist.. then started to gently do the rubbing gently in circle motions around my wrist. After this, I do the one arm up.. one arm down and up and down.. up and down on this handle bar thingy you hold onto while you hold onto the handles and it (well you really work it) takes your arms up and down. Since I cannot lift my right arm as high as my head.. (Not even that high) she knows when to stop!! Even PT is your own pace closely watched by Sue(the woman's name) I love going there. She does NOT FORCE or make you do anything that makes the RSD worse. Friends, I just want to thank you all for your encouraging words, support, prayers and ya all kept saying keep on trying until you find a good pain dr. I had one who I disliked from the moment he walked in(Ya all know, Mr. Doogie Houser?? ) LOL what an idiot!! Anyway, thank you all for that. I am so tired!!! now, today I have received a letter from our Govornor(He has come to many award dinners at my husbands American legion meetings where my husband is commander of his post) Bill's post, not the governor.. LOL I already have a letter that arrived 2 weeks ago from our Senator who said that they will be happy to help on any problems I run into as I go tomorrow morning(health wise(strep throat) with my disability claim. So, friends.. again I need prayers for this!! A huge Thank you to Dawn for getting me on the right track!! So, thanks Dawn!! Hey, where oh where are you Dawn?? I haven't heard from you?? I will Pm you after this long book I am writing. LOL sorry friends Well, that's my story for today!! Love and God bless every single one of you, as your all my "Cyber Angels on this forem" Love, Desi hugs to all

Is this too much?? any one have any experience on this much?? Is it too much?? I know, I know.. I am being a pain tonight! LOL I should be sleeping with this strep.. but can't get enough of a comfortable position!! Grrrrrrrrrr.. TIA Love to all! Love, Desi

i've taken 400mg three times a day for years and do fine on it. i did up it once to 400 four time a day and i was spacey so i went back down. that seems to be good for me. so watch yourself and judge what is right for you.
sorry about the strep. i know so many sick people this summer ... pneumonia and everything ... these are winter problems! what is up? too much ac i bet! we are all inside just like winter! hope you get better soon. joan

Default Hi Desi

I was on 600 mg three times a day and that was not considered max.. I believe I was told I could go up to 3600 mg a day maximum..
