Default Accupuncture - Pros & Cons quickly pls

I'm sad that people don't use this forum more. It's the only place I know how to reach Fellow sufferers

About me - RSD for 20 years with recent spread & worsening (3 yrs ago).

Yesterday I had my first acupuncture session. No needles in affected areas. It caused a flare even while I was pin-cushioned.

Anyone have success? Even knocking it down a bit would help

Mac

I have heard of people getting relief...for me it just caused flare ups. I've been extremely sensitive to anything invasive though (every little pin prick). Did you try searching on here? I feel like I remember reading about some success stories on here.

I have never tried acupuncture personally in the 22, (almost) 23 years into this. I have tried an abundance of other things:

- acetylcystein (free radical elimination) (often given together with DMSN cream).
- calcitonin injections (very effective for me in the early stages, on my arms = quite effective, not so much on the legs)
- bisphosphonates (treatment was too late for the legs)

And then pain patches + medications & Neurontin to keep the pain under control.
