The ironic part to me is that we do remember the injury as if it happened yesterday but it's not why we deal with the pain though.

I can remember my worst fall, when it was, where it was and what caused it but if we have had years to heal from it and we don't I don't believe that it is in our head. How can a person be in so much pain they want to cut a limb off or kill themselves be told it's in their head? Don't get that one.
