Default Bad flare...

Well...I knew it would happen eventually...my first REALLY bad flare in my leg since the DRG stimulator went in. The worst I've had has been a 6/10 with a baseline of 2/10...and right now my entire leg is 10/10. The worst part? I don't know WHY it's doing this. I was having a pretty good day I thought and I don't remember doing anything in particular that would have caused this to happen. Ugh...fingers crossed it passes soon.

Also...it's pretty amazing how fast you get used to lower pain levels. This was an almost daily occurrence just 6 months ago and now I want to curl up and die because it hurts so bad.

Pain level in my leg is back down to a 6...still elevated from normal so I've been trying to just rest all day. I didn't get any sleep at all last night. Hoping it improves more overnight because I have to go down to the city for my first appointment with the psychologist and that's a rough trip even on a good day...

My leg is 100% back to baseline today. Feeling relieved that the flare up passed so quickly.

2/10 is down right yummy.
I can't get below a 4. Maybe a 3 for less than 10 minutes.

Yes...my baseline in leg has been 2/10 since the drg implant and it's truly amazing. I never thought my pain levels would get that low ever again.

I know that for a brief time the Butrans was really really effective for me and I was feelin GOOD, like 4 or 5/10. Dang, I was on top of the world. But it flared up again and suddenly that 8 felt a lot worse than it would have, because I had gotten used to not hanging out at those higher levels.
