Default My sister will be here this week.

My sister will be here this morning for a week. She is coming up from our homestate of Ky. I am very excited.

I haven't made any plans, I figured we'd take it one day at a time and decide which way to go each morning when we get up. There's so much to see around here and not so far away either.

Bill use to do all of our driving so it's going to be hard this year for us. It's been a little over 8 months but it's still the hardest thing I have ever went through.

Dustin's birthday party is today. He turned 14 yesterday. He's excited because he is getting a cell phone from Mom and Travis. I am giving him money, at 14, you never know what to buy for them.

Travis is taking me to Denver to pick Margaret up and we have to leave here at 5 this morning. I have been awake since 2. I will most likely sleep most of the way up.

I hope all of you are having some better days. I know it's not easy. The heat and humidity here has gotten to me so much, I just don't go out in it unless I have to. We have had the wierdest summer here. I can't never remember this much rain and humidity for so long of a time.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know what I was up to this week. Fun, fun, fun.

Thank all of you for the support you have given me. It's been some tough times of late but I know they will get better.

Ada

Have fun with your sister. remember, you don't have to always be doing something. Just plan a movie and popcorn nite at home. It can be fun.. She will understand if you don't want to go running around everyday.
Have fun.

Hope you have a wonderful time with your sister. make sure you set aside time to just sit and relax and talk about your childhood ... that is the best.

Default Hi Girls,

Thanks for the good advice. My sister is doing the driving. I think after the first day of mine she decided she'd be safer. LOL I cannot see certain color of cars coming so I turned in front of one the first day we were out. Bill always did the driving and took me everywhere so I am having to get use doing it myself.

We went to the flea market in Colorado Springs the first day and then just drove home another way and did some sightseeing. The mountains here are breathtaking.

Yesterday we just went to town and went through some antique stores in one town and then today we will walk through them here in the town I live in. We have about 20 here but we won't do them all. We come home and rest often because she is not doing good herself. I will be 56 at the end of this month and I feel like 70. My PCP use to tell me I would never have to worry about how it would feel to be old because I have felt that way for 20 years. LOL

My feet are giving me problems. Last night I slept with Lidocaine patches on them. Even with the New Balance shoes, it's not doing enough

We are driving to the mountains another way tomorrow and just doing some sightseeing. In Colorado you don't have to pay to see the beauty of it.

Dorrie, Dustin got his cell phone. I asked him if he thinked his Mom and Travis and he said, about 60 times. He needed one since he is going into high school and the school is about 2 miles from town so we felt it was important he had one in case he needed some help with something.

We have 2 girls missing here in town. They disappeared about 3 weeks ago. Also 1 block from my home where the kids live someone tried to pick up two kids around the same time. That worries me. We have never had anything to happen like that around here. We live in such a small close knit community.

My sister is very good about my health. She told me many times all we had to do is just stay home and visit when she came out. She calls me just about every other day when she is home.

It is a nice escape to have her here. I know after she leaves I have to start dealing with these medical issues again, another sleep test, blood work and seeing my hand surgeon and Neurologist.

We have overdone it a bit because of the heat here. I woke up this morning so tired.

It's been fun though. She's still sleeping, we haven't gotten up early and taken off like we use to that's for sure. LOL Old age.

Default Hi Ada,

A fun thing you can do to stay cool, not spend money and laugh a lot is to create a Remember Book, you can just use a notebook. We did this last year with friends. We remembered candies we had as children that are no longer made. Radio and tv shows from childhood, games we use to play etc. It help to bring back memories that are stored , but we have not thought about in a long time. I think we thought of 20 some candies, and no we aren't that old Anyway, this is something you can add to each visit, and your family will enjoy reading years from now. Spice it it and add your old boyfriends to the list or not ENJOY Carose.

Default Thank you Carose, good ideal.

We found a doll in an antique shop that we both had one like when we were kids. What's good about Antique shops, they bring back memories also.

That's a good ideal on the Remember book. There is only 1 year difference between us so we have a lot to remember. I like that ideal.

We took a walk tonight. We were going to arobics but got rained out again.
Last night we got our bathing suits on and grabbed out towel and it started raining. Tonight the same thing. Tomorrow we decided to forget the aroebics and just go swimming with my boys.

We have fun no matter what we do. We have been spending a lot of time in the house because of my feet.

I feel bad because we can't do more but she's ok with it. Just being together is good to me.
