Hello Everyone,
Just curious to find out new ideas... I have had RSD in my right leg since 2000. I have tried everything up until about 2 1.2 years ago when I had the Ketami:confused treatment which was unsuccessful after the infusion stopped. I have had nerve blocks, epidurals, drug therapy, physical therapy... the whole nine yards. The past 2 years I have been dealing with it by my TENS unit, pain medicine (when needed) rest, relaxation, and 90% just grinning and bearing it... but as time goes on doing that, i figure the medical field has got to have come out with something else? Hope everyone is having a good night!! ![]()

I hope you're right.
I fear there will be big strides made in early detection and prevention some time before there are true cures. More effective pain killers could come along at any time though and this alone would be a huge help to most. |

im sorry so many things have failed since your tens unit is effective you may want to look into a trial stimulator. i have 2 so if you have some quwstions feel free to fire away. one suggestion though if you do decide to have one avoid the ketamine pain pump it didnt work at all for me and with a previous history i wouldnt rely on it.
just a thought the other messages regarding the medication is probably the smarter route and i hope those work but if they dont the stim might help

Yes about a year ago I tried lyrica. It did help some but not enough to swallow the expense for it. Neurontin I tried back in high school (about 5 years ago) but I didn't find it much help even being up to 3000 mg a day back then, plus I couldn't function on such high of a dosage..

Hi Heather,
I am envious that you are able to sleep, rest and relax. I wish (beyond all wishes) that I could do that. I work FT and literally sleep the weekends away. You have an admirer... |
