HAPPY DANCE,,,,HAPPY DANCE...Ok.. not really, my back still hurts, but if I could that's what I would be doing. . I just got off the phone from my docs office. I am scheduled to get the perm on Nov 20th. 2 days before Thanksgiving. I am so happy. It will be great to be able to get around again. I understand that it will be a painful recovery, and I think I'm ready for that part. If not... no changing my mind. Luckly, my daughter (who is at Rutgers getting her masters) and her roommate are coming down to cook and help out. I have to be at the hospital at 7:00am..that means I have to leave the house about 5:00am. I'm going to have my other daughter, (she is at VCU getting her BS in Biology), come up Mon nite and stay over. That way she can feed the boys and put them out. Kinda scared, but happy at the same time.
Mary

Alli and all my friends
3 WEEKS FROM TODAY, Yeaaaa. This is worse than being a kid waiting for Christmas. Time is going so slowly. Yesterday, I got my winter clothes out of storage and got them all taken care of. Put up summer stuff. (it's not that much, I hate shopping lol). If my back wasn't still sore, I would go out and groom my horses. Maybe later, if I can get their heads out of the round bale. Ok.. I'll hang in there. It will get here soon. Hugs Mary

Vicc,
I hope it works also. With the trial I had 100% relief. I even put shoes and socks on and went to a Home and Garden Show. I walked about 3 hrs. A couple of times my feet started feeling sore so I just changed programs to allow another one to set in. Ok.. walking for 3 hrs, when I have been in bed or using a wheelchair/walker, wasn't really smart, but I figured the only way to know how it would work is to put it to the test. I've heard the sometimes the perm. isn't as great as the trial. I hope it's not the case with me. My doc even said that in about a year, that he didn't see why i couldn't go back to riding my horses. He said jumping isn't a great idea, but as I gave up jumping the last time I jumped and my horse didn't. lol. I'm getting too old for it anyway. I love classical Dressage. That is the riding that is done in the shows for the White Stallions. Hugs Mary
