Angry I read my angiogram report today

...

We went ahead with the angiography via the right radial approach. She was extremely sensitive to even having a paper drape put over her legs to the point that it struck me this might be psychiatric.

Our progedure was performed without difficulty and she tollerated it well. She has absolutly normal coronaries.

Left ventricular and diastolic 8.
Left ventricular size and wall motion is normal.

This lady has no evidence of any cardiac problem here and I think the MIBI scan is incorrect.

I have tried to reassure her that her problem is not her heart and I think she can stop her liptor, asprin, plavix and metoprolol. She May go home today and she is to follow up with Dr howard.

She believes she has something called "complex regional pain syndrome". This is something I have never heard of before but of cource it has it's own web page and I think long before she gets treated with any medication which may cause her long term addiction and sideline her from the mainstream potential of life she should have a pstchiatric consultation and at least a second opinion from a neurologist well versed in this syndrome if it even realy exists.

[ this was from the head of he cardiology department in a major hospital too ]

OMG!! Again, a so-called doctor who thinks he knows everything there is to know and in reality he knows absolutely nothing!!!! "Believes she has" "IF it even really exists"?!?!?!?!

Holy cow,I'm mad that this #&$^* had the temerity to even write this garbage!!! I think we know who need a psych consult and it isn't you sandel!!! I'm actually quite speechless. Wow.....

*BIG GENTLE HUGS* that you even had to have someone like this in your space. Will this report hurt you in any way? I mean with docs or whatever? I've done forgotten things I know I should remember about you. LOL Love the RSD fog, swiss cheese brain crud.

Default thanks Karen

I am not sure.. the fact that he hadnt heard of it is incredible hes head of a heart hospital here in Canada.. I am suprised that he would write such a thing without checking the facts first..

To top it all off his procedure caused my arm to develope a fistula then blow up and the radial artery is now blocked up and useless.. he refused to take any of the precautions nessary.. wouldn't even give me any sedation (so I could go home 2 hrs earlier he said)

Can this report hurt me... well with WCB who knows.. but as I have already spent 3 months in their pain clinics and seen shrinks weekly all prior to that report.. none of them implyed I was anything but depressed because of what my lifes become.. who's isn't.. and with all the procedures blocks ect naa hopefuly not..

it just makes me feel quite sick

Angry Omg!!

Sandel....

I am seriously at a loss for words here. So, I echo what Karen said so well.

I am sorry that you had to go through that, and that you had such an SOB for a doc. I hope that the problems that this butthead and the way that he ran your tests go away soon and don't cause you any more permanent issues with your "comples regional pain syndrome" (I can't believe he even put it in QUOTES like that!!!! ARGH!!!!).

What a poop head. I am so sorry.

Love and
Jose

Default Another Doc that got his license from the internet.

Sandel I am so sorry you had to go through such poor treatment form a doc that either got his license via the internet or Sears Catalog.

My blood is boiling, don't we all go through enough on an everyday basis without having to be treated like we are all ready for the looney bin. I can't believe the nerve of that so called "doctor".

Well I better stop before I say something to get me repremanded.

Sandel, can't you report this doctor to someone? Also I hope your arm has no lasting side effects from your test.

God Bless,

Sandel,
Firstly I am very happy that you have no cardiac abnormality. This is the one plus you have from this experience.
To be honest that doctor has just made a right **** of himself admitting that he has never heard of this disease, it is a big admission considering millions of people across the world have it.
To get some type of retribution (which I would definitely need) I would print up information for him about the disease and send him the names of all the doctors and psychiatrist whom you see so he realises it is he who needs psychiatric help and not you.

Please don't let it upset you anymore--you know that those who care about you know differently.
Love Tayla

I can't believe this doc. (yes I really can tho). Getting to be the head of a dept/hospital, doesn't mean they are great, sometimes they are just the lesser idiot of those that applied. Don't give up. I wish you were close so you could see my docs. He is the dept head of the Pain clinic at Georgetown University Hospital..a very competive and hard to get into univeristy. It is up there with the Mayo clinic. They are great, and not only do you get the advice of the doc, you also get input from the residents and interns. I like having a lot of different thoughts about what is going on, and what they can try. Always on the cutting edge.

Sounds like this guy may be great as a cardiac Dr. but completely ignorant about the world around him. Maybe he's so busy he doesn't have time to read the medical journals and too arrogant if he did have time. It's intolerable that some specialists don't have the drive to look into things outside their field of expertise.

I'm glad your heart is OK.
Don't let it get you down hon.

Hugs and Prayers
