Default Southern California pain doctor?

I have an apt with a pain doctor next week who is suppose to know about rsd too. I had one with a doctor at ucla which I was not happy with and one in cleveland when I was there. Does anyone who lives in southern california have any good doctor they work with? After so many disappointing doctors I would like to find one others have seen helpful.Thank you.

Dr Lawrence Miller in Beverly Hills is a pain management Doctor who is really good. You can google him. He is terrific and I have been going to him for 4 years. Hope this helps. Deb

Thank you. I will keep that info. It helps a lot. I have an apt with Dr Carden next week. I read good things about him but just in case. What types of things have you had done if you don't mind?

He manages all my pain meds, he does blocks, stimulators, you name it. I don't know what I would have done without him. I make a long drive from Bakersfield to Beverly Hills once a month to see him and I never wait. He gets me in almost immediately. He also runs an RSD support group but unfortunately it is in Beverly Hills so it is too far for me to attend. Hope all this helps. Please keep him in mind and I wish you all the luck. Debbi

Thank I will keep in mind. I have seen 2 other specialists in pain but had little success with them. I'm hoping he will listen and really look deeper. Thank you so much and am glad you found someone to help you. It keeps me hopeful.

Hi there!
I have had the good luck to have had two amazing pain doctors in SoCal. The first, that I currently see is Farshad Ahadian at UCSD. He's wonderful- great bedside manner and he does a lot of research, so he's very current. My last pain doc was in Thousand Oaks, where I used to live. Actually I was in Santa Barbara, but I made the trek to see him- he's worth it. Kamyar Assil. Such a sweet heart, but also a great doctor. If you happen to be near San Diego, stay away from a doctor named Mark Wallace- he nearly killed me when I was in a clinical trial. He's a terrible doctor.

Hope this helps!
Linnie

Default Question on Dr Ahadian

Hello,my husband has RSD and were looking to move to San Diego. can you tell me if Dr. Ahadian does the ketmaine infusion treatments? If so, does he do outpatient only, or does he also do the 5 day inpatient one for worse cases? if he doesnt, what treatments does he offer? any help you can give would be GREATLY appreciated!!
