Here's something kind of off the wall.
I only mention it because the symtoms of CIDP are somewhat similar to RSD and it could provide a clue about it. Research has suggested that a spirochete might actually be at the heart and necessary to human cognition. Perhaps this applies to all mammals (and birds, most reptiles) and each species has a distinct spirochete. Apparently breathing pig brains causes demyeliation of nerve tissue.
