Unhappy New to this

Hello everyone. I was diagnosed with CRPS and Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome after an evulsion fracture of the navicular in my left foot. I had surgery to remove the fragment and have the rest of the bone glued together. I have been on crutches since the fall in Jan at work.

Unfortunately, my pain doc and I feel that my CRPS is spreading up my leg quite quickly. I had a Sympathetic nerve Block done last wed. Within 6 hours, the color and temp change came back with severe pain.

I have tried pt and it seems to exaserbate my crps, so I am no weight bearing. Has anyone else had the same experience?

Hi Chefsuzz and welcome.
I'm so sorry you have CRPS. I'm in my 14th year and full body. Mine came following benign breast surgery. I wasn't diagnosed for 4 years, but because of frozen shoulder had pt and massage therapy-gentle. I went into remission after therapy for a year or so then moved to other side. more pt and massage and again remission. It's important the therapy be gentle. Also had desensitization which I'm grateful for. I believe I am mobile because of therapy, swimming being a large part and stretching. I have a great nuerologist that saved my feet but having me in to water therapy right away when my toes started curling up. Please don't give up. www.rsdrx.com is an excellent source of info under Puzzles List-146 questions and answers from a retired Dr. Hooshmand from Florida. RSDSA also is great site- put in your zip code and you'll get a name and phone number of closest support group.
Take care, loretta
