Default Loss of Driving Priviliges devasting-due to Meds

Hi everyone, I was hoping somone is on some mixture of meds that is working on average level5-7 pain with flares that put me to be that run in the 8-9-10's. I have a combination that is working but they are class 11 narcotics and Iam no longer alloweed to drive, I mean you can drive but God for bid you hurt any one, you will be ruled as driving under the influence. I think that is fair enough as I would hate to be responsible for hurting someone elses child.
However I am hoping someone has a combination out these that is working signaficantly for them that is anot a class 11 and up nacartic. I really want to be able to drive- its life giving up the last little piece I had of being part of that other world we all used to know. Any advise?? Thanks, CZ
P.S. Doctors have not told me I cant drive however nursers at the ER have made it quite clear that A. I had better not have driven myself in and 2. If i am part of an accident I will be consiered Driving under the infulence and there is jail tiem that comew with that- usually initially with out your meds since they are nacarotics. Scary! Thanks I would really be interested in any advice anyone has- this was my last bit of independence I was hanging on to . I had already limited myself to small back roads in my small town- never on the interrastate as I just never felt with it enough.

Default Hi,

I am on Methadone. A lot of people can't take it but I believe that the Drs. tend to start people out on too high of a dosage of a lot of meds such as Methadone.

I raised my dosage last week due to my bladder problems. Most people would say it's not enough to do anything but believe me, it does the job. The minute I let it get out of my system, I am a mess with pain.

It has problems just like some of the other meds such as Oxycontin and Moraphine but you have to try them to know how you are going to do on it.

I noticed in that story about Paula Abdul, the firemen was on Methadone. At this point, I have no side effects from the Methadone. IF I got way higher on the dosage, yes I might, but again that is to be said of any Narcotic you take.

Others will come on here with their ideals of meds. Then you will have more of a selection to ask about. I am glad that I only have to take the Methadone. I don't want to be on too many meds mainly because my stomach won't let me.

I sure hope things start getting better for you soon.

Ada
