Please... let's all remember that NO two people with RSD/CRPS have the same symptoms nor do we respond to the same medicines and treatments.
I appreciate the information that Vic and Sandel are posting and I feel it may help me in my battle. If you don't agree that this information will help you... that's ok... but please understand that it may be helping others and we need for this type of information to be continued to be posted. |
I must be a chameleon cause I change colors in my arms and legs LOL. :D
I really dont get any color changes in my legs much, but when it does happen it is the bright red burning kind. The vascular surgeon says it is a direct result of ischemia that damaged the nerves. How all this works is complicated to me, but I am trying to wrap my brain around all of it. In my right arm the color will change from normal to a dark deep purple with a deep ache to it. I havent figured out what sets it off, but it is scary when it happens. The left arm so far remains normal except for pain. The one thing that bothers me about the nerve damage theory is ...how can it spread? Things have to have a way of moving around, and far as I can tell the nerves dont move, although the nerves signals do. But why would nerve damage in the leg effect other body parts not really connect physically? I do know blood moves around, and does circulate the entire body. I am not 100% sure this is how RSD spreads, but it makes sense to me that this would be the culprit. Maybe nobody knows the exact cause, but I would not be surprised if one day they link all this together to find that we are on the right track. The idea that some of the other diseases are really RSD, well, that could be too. I do know one thing for sure....that is the fact the nobody really knows what is causing RSD to this point....not even the so called experts. So I agree we should not be close minded to any dialogue regarding this most perplexing disease. |
