Welcome Stacie! Please make yourself at home. While my status here is newbie as well, I've had RSD now since Jan. 2000. And been on the forums just as long. I knew nothing about RSD when I found out. I thought they were referring to RSV! ....when I found out RSD...and read the right stuff, I was like..hey that's me! ..And then I was stunned finding out there was no cure. Over the years I've made some wonderful friends here, and I hope you will make some wonderful lifetime friends as well, who can be there to support you thru the good and the bad of RSD.

Welcome to the forum. I am sorry that you are going through the RSD life but at least you have found a good place for great info.

I have sure learned a lot here that has helped me through my journey through RSD and I am basically in remission due to very good medical care.

I can totally relate to the hell and back. I got to the point of being suicidal from the pain, it was so bad. It took a long time to get through the worst of it.

Tell us your story and if you have questions you will get some good answers here for meds, treatment, PT, depression and any other thing that might help you get better.

My Dr. talked me into getting on the computer to help diagnose me when no one could. That's what took me to the forums. Then I got addicted. LOL

Anyway, any questions you want to ask, go for it and I hope you stick around.

I'm sorry for the pain you are feeling. My 12 year old son has RSD in his stomach and it has really affected his life. He use to be such a happy kid, but now he is sad and feels hopeless at times. We try and get him to do normal things like school and play, but everyday is a struggle. He is on the waiting list for an intense physical therapy program - where is your RSD and how are you beiing treated?

Welcome Stacie. I am fairly new to this website too. I got RSD in my right arm after I had surgery to move my ulnar nerve back in November, 2006. My diagnosis was made six months after the onset of RSD when a second ulnar nerve surgery brought the RSD into a full-blown flare. So I have had it just about the same amount of time as you.

Where is your injury/RSD? You may have said this on a different thread, but I did not see it. What therapies are you trying for your wellness program? How is your pain level and mobility doing?

Hi Stacie, Welcome to the forum, I am new here too. I have been dealing with RSD for four years now. I was injured on Mother's Day by falling through my deck. Right now I am in a huge flareup and I am trying all the tricks I know and nothing is happening to reverse it right now. I have a trip to the Pain Dr. scheduled for Thurs.this week. I also just found out I have degeneraive disc disease in the lumbar region of my back...wondering if my RSD is spreading. That is my feeling. Sorry to hijack your thread..where is your RSd and how are you feeling today?
