Default Hooshmand's Puzzles- Still Valid?

Hi Peoples!

I've just been browsing the net for RSD info and came across Dr Hooshmand's puzzles, which I haven't looked at for years. I found them great when my RSD was first diagnosed back in 2000/2001, but even his "updated" entries haven't been updated since 2002. A lot of research and new findings in RSD management have taken place since 2002!

So are these puzzles/theories/information pages still considered current and valid?

Or have many of these issues been disproven or have they now been superceded due to research etc in the past few years?

What's the general consensus here?

x Kate

Default Hi Cake,

I purchased his book, one for me and one for my PCP about 5 years ago when the lousy pain Drs. I went to knew nothing and would do nothing.

My Dr. read the book, did an awlful lot of the things he mentions in them. We did the blocks, the triggerpoint injections, PT, and anything else in that book we could take to use, we did.

I realize a lot of new things are being tried but a lot of the old things are still being used such as the blocks, PT, and TPI's.

Take what you think you can use from his puzzles and if new things have come out, combine them.

I have never met Dr. Hooshmand but that book saved me, I truly believe that.

I sure hope you start seeing some more pain free days.

Ada

Default RSD-puzzle

Dr. Hooshmand has retired

But I agree with ADA, read and learn and compare with newer studies.

I learn't a lot from his puzzle's when i was frist DX'd in 2001, even took a look at his side with my own neurologist. He learned alot, and thanked me
I also have his book

IASP(International Associsiation(SPL) of the study of Pain), has some book's too about RSD /CRPS, if you want to read more.
