Hi all
Just wanted to let you know that Alison had the toenail removed earlier this afternoon
She is doing fine - currently attached to a morphine pump as the digital block she had in theatre is due to wear off anytime soon and we have no idea of how the op will have affected her pain levels for a while
Her toes have not stopped spasming since she woke up - so thats keeping everyone on the ward amused !!! Hopefully the spasm will settle back down to be intermittant once her foot recovers from its ordeal !!!
Ali sends her love and will be back online no doubt tomorrow with all the grusome details !!!!!!
Speak Soon
Love
Andrea

Hi everyone,

Just to let you know I got home from hospital yesterday, however I had to go back today for the dressing changed on my toe and also because I am having really bad muscle spasms in the whole of my leg now, not just my foot. My PM doctor wants me to go back sometime next week, to try a muscle relaxant that is injected into my leg to see if it calms the spasms down (I will probably have to stay in hospital over night again), however if the pain doesn't go down any I have to go to ER this weekend.

My doctor also mentioned the possiblity of having an SCS or a pain pump, when and if I find some medications that help with the pain and spasms.

I am currently taking morphine, tramadol, ibuprofen, lyrica, baclofen and parocetamol and I also tried Diazapam (sp?) to see if that helped with the spasms but it didn't!

Thanks for the best wishes - they mean a lot.

Love ya all,
Alison
