Default RSD in the Eye

Well, so down because the RSD is definately in my right eye- Feels like sandman and tears a lot and stings and sometimes just pain in the ball..Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I am not on any meds- thinking of trying neurontin again-lyrica caused increased skin pain for me- everything works the opposite for me-lol

HELP>>>>

Oh my gosh, Deb!! RSD right in your eye?? I am so very sorry to hear about this one!! Ask your RSD Doc. what you can do for this!! There are nerves in your eyes, and in my opinion, I would go back on the Neuronton or lyrica again. Can he order you some eye drops for the tears, sand like feeling? Please take care Deb!~Love, Desi

Yes the sandman and draining tears, dry burning lots of burning. Im going through a bottle of visine a day just to keep them open. at first I thought it must be shingles but apparently you dont get thoose on both sides of your body horrible painful yes. I am so sorry to hear it has moved toyour eyes. I didnt even know it could until this month. Love ya,mbrfz(CZ)

Thumbs up RSD in Eyes (reply)

Hi: I'm new on this board, but I also have RSD. When it moved to my eyes, I was told not to use off the shelf eye drops. My pain doc gave me a prescription for special eye drops that cleared the symptoms up pretty quick. Now, I only pull out the drops when I have a flare up.

I'm glad I found some people with RSD. I had been searching with no luck.

I hope you get some eye drops soon. You'll feel much better.

Default shooting pains in eyeball

I have CRPS type II from venipuncture injury to right arm 3 years ago. Mine spread to the upper quadrant of my body, including my face & head, after 10 months. Occasionally I get eye symptoms during flares, but it's shooting pain not burning pain. I don't get these often, and they are fairly mild compared to the other symptoms, so I wasn't positive they were related to the CRPS.

Deb: I'm sorry this took so long, but I cannot remember or find out the name of the drops. I no longer see that pm and they have been used up for a long time. Thank goodness, I haven't needed any myself so I haven't asked this doc yet. If I ever find the name I will post it or email you the name. I had a flare up or I would have answered you sooner.

Deb,
I also have RSD in my eyes. I found an over-the-counter eye drop that provides wonderful relief for me.

It's made by Baush & Lomb.
It's called Alaway -- Eye Itch Relief.
It used to be available for Rx only.
It's an antihistamine for the eye but it relieves the nerve endings, cools the eye burn, and lessens the watering.

You can get a free trial sample to see if you like it or not.

I wish you the best as I can relate to how you feel.
