Post intro and history

hi everyone,
1st of all it is a difficult typing (RSD). i've had multiple major surgeries to lumbar back, left wrist, left palm and left knee.toss in being bi-polar and i've been left with little i could do. then 3 yrs ago i started having pain in my right hand which also caused cramping of pinky and ring finger with extreme intolerance to hot and cold.md, worked on right. ulnar nerve with no success. when 6 weeks later symptoms moved to left wrist and hand and left foot up to the knee rsd found new ground.
my md and pain md suggested i see a new pain md, and i have never had anyone so compassionate about my condition. she is up to date with diagnoses and treatments.
she immediately started focusing on my hands and forearm. i have been receiving stellate ganglion blocks, but she uses ketamine in conjunction with the basic injection. she will put you out completely if you wish and you don't remember the process. i have had 5 injections on my rt side, because that arm and hand was much worse.after getting good relief we decided i start a 6 week session of alternating shots followed by an hour of physical therapy.
i am hoping and praying for relief, i've had good success with the previous 5 shots.

i've been through many courses of therapy to get this monster under control and regain part of a normal life back!!!!!!!!!

Hi Christopher! It sure seems like you have a wonderful PMD I am so happy for you! I was told on here, (This board) that to keep looking if I wasn't happy with the old PMD I had. I was ready to give up, and was glad I didn't, as mine, too is a real gem. I do hope that you get this beast under control too, Christopher. Hang in there! Good luck to you!!
