I think...

everyone is different.

People react to substances on an individual basis.

Some people can drink coffee all day long and others get sick on
one cup.

In the medical literature you can read all day long for months on the pros and cons of coffee.

If it bothers you, don't drink it...even in decaf.
I cannot tolerate coffee GI wise --- either real or decaf.
But I have GI congenital issues, that are different from other people. My husband drinks one real coffee in the morning and decaf all the rest of the day...no problemo.

Be advised that decaf has been shown to have some caffeine.
It is not 100% caffeine free.

Hmmmmm then I wonder why tea gives me heart burn with acid reflux but coffee does not seem to at all.

Another example of how nothing about me goes by the book *LOL* If it says it will make you sleepy it keeps me awake & if it is to keep you awake it puts me to the sleepies *LOL*
