Smile YEA!!! It's been approved

Boy am I happy. Just got off the phone with the insurance company. It was approved by the board of review today. I got the approval number and called the hospital/dr. Today is surgery day for my doc, so hopefully, i can get in for surgery next week. my fingers are crossed. It would be so great to finally get the battery moved and see if this crazy pain stops. Yea.....

Hugs
Mary

Stacie,

Thanks for the good wishes.. Of course I remember you, after reading your replies, I called my docs surgical nurse and told her about you and that you had the same thing. I also told her they changed the battery out and moved it to your abs. She said she will talk to my dr. about it and see what he thinks. I'm so happy. I'm hoping to get it moved next week. Are you still with the pain? How is your recovery doing? Last time we spoke, you were starting to get out for short walks. How is it going now? Keep me posted

Hugs
Mary

just spoke to the dr. He is going to have it moved to my belly. He is going to have his associate do the surgery. He said that if he was only going to move it a little in the butt, then it would take 1/2 hr and recovery would be quick. He said his associate has done quite a few of these moves, and he wanted him to do it. he has a call into the other guys office to set up a date soon. If it is going to take to long to get an appt. then he will get some one else to do it. I asked it the leads were long enough, and he said he was waiting to speak to the ANS rep.

Stacie,

How many staples????. OMG..how bad was it? were your leads long enough? how did they do it? where did they put all the stitches. (you can tell I'm amazed at the number..OUCH). are they just in the front and back? wow. let me know what it was like. I'm glad you are up and walking. It sounds like it really has helped. I'm hoping for the same effect. My doc said that he was afraid that just moving it in my butt wouldn't stop the pain.

Hugs,
Mary

Heart 2 Answer Ur ?'s.........

They Moved My Battery 2 My Belly Cuz They Were Afraid Of The Same Thing That It Woodnt Stop The Pain.... It Was 34 Staples I Had 4 Incisions I On My Belly For The New Battery One On My Butt 2 Get The Old Battery Out One On My Back Cuz My Leads Were Not Long Enuff And On Lil One On My Side To Feed The Wires From My Back To My Stomach. It Wasnt Horribly Bad At All It Was Actually Nothing Compared To Rsd Pain And The Horrible Battery Acid Pain Over Where The Battery Was, Cuz The Battery Acid Pain Was Gone And My Stim Was Working Better We Messed With The Leads While We Were In There Cuz We Added Extra Ones. I Think That Answered All Ur ?'s If You Have Anymore Let Me Kno And I Cant Wait 2 Hear A Date For Ur Surgery!!!
