Default Question about flare ups and development of rash

Good morning all,
I was diagnosed with a rotator cuff tear on my RSD arm about a yr ago. My Ortho said no surgery until it gets to be unbearable. Well its there ! I am an AC for EPIC software. I can do my job from home thank God and have been given 6 weeks to work from home and see if my shoulder improves. Well in the process of decreasing my actiity level my RSD is getting worse! I have developed an itchy burning rash on my RSD limbs as well as my good side. Has anyone else had this type of rash with a flare up ?

Default Hi Moey,

The rash I haven't dealt with but on the rotator cuff, make sure when they do the surgery to have them do some sort of block. Blocks have stopped my spread and the pain with every surgery I had it with.

Also on rashes, you really have to make sure what they are. I just had 2 places removed under my chin that turned out to be precancerous places. I thought all along it was from the RSD.

People should never assume everything is from RSD.

I hope your shoulder gets better without the surgery.

Welcome Moey,
Yes, I've had rashes before. The Sun will bring them on for me. Dr. says use always sunscreen. I also get red dots which are always present. The rashes itch. I have had RSD 12 years and now full body-started the day after surgery with frozen shoulder. Took a long time of physical therapy to get most of range of motion back.Hope all goes well with you. loretta jewell
