Thanks for telling me to google this again, it is very interesting stuff. Now, I see why I hurt and feel so bad. This I hope will go into remission with that darn beast RSD. ~Love ya~Desi

Hi Debbie. Ya know, I took my young daughter to her peditrician's office three times, and he indeed told me what she had was "Growing pains"! I told him that there is no such thing, as I was told by countless others. Her legs hurt so bad that I have to massage them, give her children's motrin. The only time they bother her is at night time!! I also have been keeping track of what she does that could cause this bad pain that she has so much. She jumps on a trampoline, when she is running all over the place here and there. When she does a lot of walking. Then she complains and cries so bad, that I really get scared and think that she may have this, Fibro?? I mean, why would a peditrician believe they are growing pains? I don't think they are! I need to get her into a good Dr. so he can test her. She also gets the worst headaches, where she cries, I have to give her motrin, put her in a dark bedroom with a ice pack on her head. They are getting pretty bad now, so, she will be going to a specialist soon in October. As for me, my wrist and hand are so blue and cold, that I am going crazy with the pain, plus fibro on top of RSD! I hate it!! Your post made very good sense, to me, Debby. Thank you! I sure do know what your talking about that bone crusing pain of RSD, but this fibro is a real butt kicker too! Yes, the pain from RSD is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy painful compaired to RSD. To have them both at once, is the real butt kicker! Thanks again, Debby!~Love, Desi

Hi Naja! I used to walk 2-3 miles every single morning. walking makes this fibro worse! I'm lucky some days getting up and down our stairs. It is so darn painful all over my body. It feels like my feet are crushed by walking!! I went to our local fair and had to leave. All we did is walk, sit down to eat, walk, walk walk!! I was in bed the next day and couldn't do nothing, as I ached all over. I still am in great pain from my RSD, now, this Fibro. It's kicking my big butt all over the place! LOL thanks for posting, Naja. ~Love, Desi

Hey Pookie! How ya been? Yes I believe this fibro is pretty close to RSd. Sometimes, the RSD is so darn painful, I told my doc, that all I want to do is sleep, I'm depressed over all this. I want to keep to myself, I don't even want to see my older sons at times, don't want to even answer the phone. My son's are starting to understand, but then sometimes, when they stop by, when I am hurting so bad, I put a smile on my face and act like I'm ok, so they don't have to worry about me, because their dad is so very sick. His kidney's are bad now and he is still on oxygen, very sick. These diseases are just really bad. Can't concentrate, sometimes I have trouble with my memory and don't even remember where I left something?? Anyway, Pookie, so very sorry to hear about your entire left side. did your doc. say the RSD has spread? Please keep us posted on that. Fibro starts out slowly, then one arm foot leg may hurt, ache so bad. then the fibro hits the deep joints of all over pain soon, and by the time you go to the docs, he will tell you what you have. I have never heard of this disease, until he told me what it was and I googled it. And yep, I have all the symptoms of fibro. RSD hurts the worse, a close second is Fibro. I will keep you in my prayers for your pain. I am sorry you have this pain, pookie!! Love ya, sweet friend, ~Desi

Hi Alison!
So good to see you posting again, after a long leave. Yes, I too heard that RSD and Fibro go hand in hand too. Hmmmmmmmmm... wonder why? All I know is I have it, the RSD is in a flare, worse when my anxiety level is up, as most of you know my husband, Bill is very sick. He had two heart attacks and has chronic heart failure, now his kidneys are bad! My doc and I both agree that RSD can flare really bad when your anxious, nervous and you have a lot to worry about. I told him I can't sleep and he also ordered me Klonopin 1 mg. for sleep. Anyway, my blood pressure was up too. This Dr. also takes care of my husband and he told me, I have too much on my plate. Taking care of him, my daughter who is 8. My xanax is working some, but not like it should, so he still wants me on this, plus the klonopin. I'm beginning to think that all of this makes so much sense, about the anxiey, nervousness can make RSD worse. And the fibro on top of this, is the icing on the cake. AWFUL. I am trying to not be so anxious, nervous, but it is so hard. I just keep God close and in prayer a lot. I also thank God for good people like you all on here. Thank you my friend, Ali and I hope your feeling alright, sweetie Love ya!~Desi

Hey ya, Mary!
Thank you for posting! It sure feels good saying ya all need me!! Awwwwww.. I need all of you fine friends too! I too, hope that the Doc can keep this under control. He is a very caring, doc. who will just sit there, let me be a part in all my meds. calls me honey, is very compasionate, When he wanted to up my one anti-depressent, I told him, I would never get up at 6:45 to get my daughter driven to school, so he left it where it was, wanted to up my xanax, but I told him, I am trying to get off this with my other doc who gives me this. So, that is where he put me on klonopin, what ever that is?? I got it filled, but forgot to pick it up today, see how my mind is?? LOL Thanks for your post and you PM-ing me. I will pm you soon, okay. Love you sweetie!~love, Desi

The best exercise for Fibro pain is swimming in a warm pool one that is between 89 & 92. No colder. If you can find a Physical Therapy/Rehab place that has a pool they are all usually that warm. They also usually have a program that people suffereing with Fibro can do. The closest for me is 45 miles away so I don't go but wish I could. Back where I lived in Iowa they had a PT place with a pool like that & the Rehab people there set me up with my own regimine. It was wonderful.

When first DX'ed with it in 1989 I swam in the public pool everyday & had the Fibro go into remission until 1997 when I was in a car wreck & it then it was back with a vengence. I do know being in shape helps more with Fibro pain than when not in shape.

The feeling in your feet like they are bruised could be the Fibro, mine would feel like that before RSD when in a Fibro flare. And yes walking on them did not make them feel better.

Hoping you & anyone else suffering with Fibro can find that warm pool to work out in. It is wonderful.

Wow...
This is really interesting. My rsd started in my left foot about 5 years ago. For the last 3 years or so, when I could walk, and almost all the time now, when I walk it feels like my feet are so very bruised, and like I'm walking on glass. I haven't mentioned it to the drs. because now that I have the scs I keep thinking that it shouldn't hurt. So I just pretend that it doesn't. Sometimes I feel like the only way to get around is to crawl on my knees, but I just tell everyone that I have to sit down, that it hurts a little. I wonder??????

Hugs
Mary
