Default Intro

Hello All,
I found this board tonight and very happy to do so! I am Raven, live in NC and was diagnosed at the beginning of this year with RSD in my right arm due to a break that happened at work.
I have had the nerve blocks in my neck the msot that helped was for a week but right now I would take a weeks worth of relief!
I am just finishing up an "intensive rehab program" where you go for four weeks m-f all day long. I was excited to begin with but now feel this is kind of scam for them to tell workers comp you can do things you cannot so they can keep charging w/c $16K for people to attend.
I have read about the ketamine and the (gonna blow spelling here!) petrodinate? infusions and interested in pursuing those.
I look forward to participating on the boards here!
Peace,
Raven

Default Welcome, Raven

I'm sure you'll find tis a happy place. Sorry to have to meet you under circumstances such as these though.

I'm Lisa, and I've had rsd since prior to surgery for TOS last December. My surgeon is the one who said I had RSD, but he went on with the surgery anyway, not taking any precautions, and not explaining to me what RSD was - and I had no idea what it was, nor did I do any research, so I had no idea what I was up against. So...here I am. My rsd is in both hands, my right forearm, up my right arm into my right shoulder, and across my chest and it seems to be "creeping" towards my left shoulder now...it's about up to the hollow of my throat. I've noticed my left hand is much worse this past week than it has been. and the changing weather (brrrrr!) is kicking my BUTT!!!!!

Anyway, nice to see/meet you. Hope you enjoy your stay. Kick back, have a cup of coffee, and others will be alogn to introduce themsvlves soon

Hugs
LisaM

Hi Raven,

Sorry that RSD brought you here - but glad you've joined us. I haven't had the infusions myself, but several people here have, I know they'll help you out. You can either search or view the backposts to see what's already on the board about them - I know ketamine gets talked about quite often.
So take care and all the best
