Hey Janet,
Nice hearing from you. A blast from the past. I remember those days well, we had a very good crew assembled to help us understand what was happening to our bodies and minds. Back in the day, 1999-2003 when the disease hit me like a rock, I really enjoyed coming to the site and visiting friends. I don't know if I should bring this up or not on the forum, but Dana still owes me a Pineapple from the old days. She made Pineapple promises that Hawaii could not keep. I still use some of those recipes that were posted. Gigglebabe and everyone contributed some tasty ones. Life is much better for me now. Time does heal some of the RSD problems. Deb and I have the house to ourselves now, the kids graduated college and moved out last June. I hope all is well for you.
Stephen

Red face Ok..Hold on a sec...too many "old boards" here...

Mike,
Let me help you out a little here.

Janet wasn't on the "old board" you are talking about. She was on the board previous to that one. The stuff she is talking about here is pretty much "ancient history".

Don't let it worry or upset you or anything. All old stuff, over and done with...water under (or over..whichever the case may be! LOL) the bridge.

Hope that helps unruffle any feathers that might have started getting a little bit fluffed up? It's all good. No worries.

I also hope that you are having a good day today. The weather is pretty dark and deary down here in my part of the country. At least it is warmer than it has been...but with the weather changes going on, I am not too happy of a camper right now. I wish it was Summer already! LOL

Just thought that I would try to help shed a little light on all of this for you, my friend.

Take Care,
Jose

Dear Jose -

Thank you for the clarification. I had just seen red when I saw the reference to sharing jokes and recipes in order to make a certain person mad, and the events surrounding the removal of Panacea came to mind. (The other person was before my time, but I had heard some talk round the campfire about how that went down.) So thank you, no offence was intended. Still it's good to open the windows and let the fresh air in now and again, and dry out any dank corners that may linger in our collective consciousness.

And speaking of the weather, I can report that Los Angeles County is sunny and dry, with expected highs this Election Day somewhere in the lower 90s.

Mike

Hi Everyone,
When I first joined Braintalk Panacea was the first one to reach out to me. I was told my a MD I was going to be in a wheelchair. She helped me alot. She educated alot on RSD.

I care about everyone here I REALLY DO. RSD is so ruff to deal with I just don't think anybody should be thrown off ever. I hope we all can just forgive. Big Hugs to Everyone. Love, Roz

Roz,

Like I said to Mike..No worries, Sweetie. It's all good. We are all making a new start of things here. Don't want to throw anyone out, or run anyone off, or do anything like that here. I don't think that anyone will find any of that necessary...nor do I think that any of that will be tolerated.

Besides...this is a brand-spanking new place! Lots of room for EVERYONE! Right? It all good. Everyone has something to contribute. Be it lots of research (which I am not good at all...but do appreciate), recipes to help folks with short cuts in the kitchen to make cooking easier for folks with gimpy hands or legs that can't stand long, to jokes to make us laugh and lighten out loads and bring a smile to some otherwise dark and unsmiling faces, to blabbering nonsense posts by folks that just talk too much and too long because....well....that is what they do! LOL

That is what makes this place what it is...all the different kinds of folks that are here, with all the different kings of things, and talents, that they bring. And, like I said...there is room for everyone. So, No worries! It's all good! (((Hugs)))

Mike...
ARGH!!!!!!!!!!! It is SUNNY??? And worse?? It is 90 degrees there??? OMG! I am so jealous! It is cloudy, and damp, and we actually got up to 63 today (Whoopee!) Compared to the lower 50's we had been (if that..BRRRR!).

I wanna be out where YOU are! Where it is SUNNY, and DRY...and WARM!

ROFL! Seriously though. Hearing stuff like that only makes my resolve to move back out West that much more...well...resolved! I am simply not built for any other climate, no matter how long I live in other wheres. I mean, you would think that after living here in AL for...hmmmm...let's see....24 years now, that I would have acclimated somewhat...wouldn't you? Nope! I can't stand the humidity, the constantly changing weather kills me, and these yucky damp cold winters just make my bones ache.

LOL, can you imagine if I had to live....I shudder at the thought....anywhere where it actually got....cold? YOWEEEE!!!

Well...enjoy the warmth for me. You lucky dog, you!
Take Care...& Stay warm ( not that you will have problems with that! LOL)
Jose

Stephen,
It's good to hear from you. I know how nice it is when the kids get grown and move off leaving all of the peace and quiet..LOL This is my youngest son's 2nd year in college so I have had the peace and quiet for awhile now. I do miss them, but enjoy the peace at the same time. He does come home about every weekend or at least every 2 weeks just to make mom cook him some good food..LOL Do your kids still live close by?

How is Deb? I hope she is well.. Did you ever find anything that would control your seizures? I sure hope so, as I know how scary they are. I do remember calling you and talking to you and was so glad I got the chance to do so. I sure hope things are a lot better now than back then..

You know you are right about Dana owing you a pineapple..LOL As a matter of fact I never got mine either..LOL We are going to have to refresh her memory..

I hope you have a good evening.. Great being here and getting to catch up with you.

(((((BIG HUGS))))
Janet

We wasn't trying to anger anyone..We were just trying to talk about other things, as well as talking about RSD, just to try to not have to think about the pain all of the time. We shared reciped that were easy for people with RSD and not to have to stay in the kitchen for hours just to fix a meal for their families..
Hi. We haven't met so nice to meet you, sorry it's due to having RSD grrrrr, but anyway if you still have those recepie's maybe you should make up a book of easy recepie's for people who need super easy ones to make. I sure could use some of those *L* I don't cook much now days, but my hubby could use easy ones to whip up. And then again if I had some easy one I might cook more often.

Hi Janet,
Glad I stopped by for a visit with you. I really enjoyed reading your post. My health is very important to me so I tend to stay away from anywhere where there is negative energy. Tell everyone hi for me. I'll stop in again sometime.

Gosh, I'm sure glad you all have good memories. I can't keep track of what happened last month! Er, well except the pineapples. Yes, I probably owe a pineapple or two. Well hey...look at my Avatar? Does that count? laffs.

The polls opened late, the print outs are late, and so it's going to be a long night. But it's almost a dead wringer that the democrats will be staying in power around here. Don't think I'll wait for our 2nd print out. It's will take til 11pm for that.

Aloha, Dana
