Default Saw another OT yesterday

I saw another OT yesterday because the wc nurse I have wanted me to have more time in OT before going back to the doctor. Well the OT that I saw rarely ever goes to the hospital she works at the nursing home. She had brought information about tendonitis because that is what the wc nurse had told her to bring. To bad for the wc nurse after everything I described to the OT and bursting into tears again at OT, the OT is bringing info on RSD. She thinks that its possible that I had tendonitis and because it went misdiagnosed and mistreated for so long that it turned into RSD. But she says that she will help me thru this and will get it into remission. I told her that there is a problem with that. From everything I have read you have a better chance of it going into remission IF you are properly diagnosed and treated in the first 3-6 months of having this. I'm just past that, I mean if we can get it to go into remission I'd be exstatic BUT that doctor is going to be the problem. This OT is also telling me that I need to switch doctors and go to a pain management doctor. But I keep getting told by WC that I have to be referred to a PM doctor by a specialist doctor and I'm at a hand specialist now. Anyway, I'm hurting really bad right now. Walked to OT yesterday and was clear and sunny, then on the way home it down poured on me. So I'm trying to build up my strength to be able to walk again today to my OT appt. Have as wonderful day as possible.

Iffynah,
I'm so sorry you're dealing with all this and WC is giving you a hard time on top of it. We have actually been pretty lucky with WC, but I know how badly they treat alot of people and my heart goes out to you. I hope things get better for you and you get to see a PM doc very soon!

Hi Iffynah,
Glad you are in OT. Sounds like you are making progress. Just don't try to do too much. Maybe walk one way, and someone pick you up on the way home? I'm trying to walk more, just a little at a time.
I gained lbs. on Neurotin so am on the diet trail-almost 15 lbs now. yeh. I'm stretching and doing floor work. Not quite like tennis every day or water skiing, but I'm glad to do something.
Keep walking, and I will too. Where exactly do you have RSD? Take Care. Loretta

My RSD is in my whole right arm, and I believe my right ankle as well. Everyone that I talk to in person blows me off, telling me that its not possible for it to spread from the upper extremities to the lower, I tell them BS look it up. Anyway, I have experienced the same stuff in my right ankle as my right arm. I have to walk both ways due to no car and no friends down here, and I cannot afford to take a taxi. But the walking is helping me to loose the weight that I have been having probs with for a while. It just keeps fluxuating. WC used to work with me as well now all of a sudden I'm being jerked around and I'm not liking it. The lawyer that I had started everything with I told him to just stop, now I'm thinking that I need to restart because this is complete BS.

i would definitely get the lawyer back on them. That could be why they are jerking you around now, because they know you don't have back up.
