I wish that would work, but this is a facility thing. I am a nurse there and obviously have "home hostage" insurance, so any doc is forced to get this signed within the system. He did agree to amend the actual contract, but since then I have heard him say in appointments "I fan this by a friend of mine..." and feel like strangling him. I think this may be a point of conversation during our next visit. I refuse to have my medical history discussed with doctors who are also my peers at work. Would you want the whole office knowing your medical history? If this isn't a HIPPA violation, I don't know what is, but the facility has found a loophole for itself, as it always does. May speak with my lawyer; a good one of those I have found!
