Default wheelchair..

Well I was reading Mark's post and it reminded me to ask a question..

I have an electric wheelchair that I no longer use. It was donated to me out of niceness, all expenses paid. Since I no longer use it, I hate that it's not being used and I want to donate it to someone else that needs it, someone that really needs it. Not to a company that will charge someone for it.

Do any of you know what to do with it or a good company I could go through?

Thanks in advance.

jen-
we have a classifieds section just for such items. Unless you have found a home for it already.

Before you do anything we'll talk first. I know Allen has been needing one real bad. I am just not sure where he lives here in the states. He has been without transportation for a while unless things have changed. We'll find out. Somone will know. We'll keep this thread at the top. Chin Up!!!!

Mark, I know. I'd LOVE to get it to Allen. I'm not sure how to do that and how much it would cost, but that's the ideal home for it.

I sent Allen a email explaining everything. I hope he gets it quick. You know you can send items large or small by bus across country for little money. I remember sending a antique bedroom dresser from Montana to Maine about 8 years ago and I only paid $150.00 for it. And that included insurance. Just a thought. But God will figure out a way if it is meant to be I am sure. Plus who could appreciate more than Allen. I know I would be. Dang ya got an extra? Chin Up!!!

Sunshine if you get in touch with Allen and do send the wheelchair to him, if you get the amount of what the shipping cost will be, I'll pitch in to help with the cost.

Thanks for doing such a great thing and helping someone else out that needs it. People like you are what makes the world go around..
