My Dr. gave me samples of Skelaxin yesterday and I was wondering if any of you are on it. He didn't give it to me for the RSD, just another new diagnoses but I'm sure several of you might be on it since it is a muscle relaxer.

Just wondering how you are doing on it and how the side effects are for you.

How are you?

I tried Skelaxin 800mg a couple times for a muscle relaxer. My PM has a ton of samples in the office so he handed me a box of them. I was taking them for torn disc in my back and knees. It seemed to really help but I noticed that I started to get Restless Legs at night when I took it. I didn't think it could be connected, but I tested it out a few more times, and it really seemed to be the Skelexin causing my legs to go crazy at night.

Other than that it was fine to take during the day.

Thank you for your help on this.

I have tried it and what I am noticeing is staying tired all of the time. Yesterday I was just wiped out. I haven't taken it today. It also made me dizzy. I think I will only try it at night for awhile. I finally got my hair washed today but I am already wiped out again. I do think it is from the Skelaxin.

This is 800mg's also. Samples from my Dr. also.

I tried Skelaxin it didn't work for me. Have you tried Zanaflex? My PM mentioned trying this muscle relaxer.

It wiped me out too. That is the Skelaxin for sure!

I am on slelaxin 3 times a day at 800mgs. Does it work I don't know what works and what doesn't anymore. I am on so many drugs I am not sure what helps and what doesn't. I think it is working but I don't know. I am taking it for muscle spasms that I get once in a while. So I honestly couldn't tell you if it helps or not.

What it's done to me is wipe me out so bad that I can't take it. I litterly stayed in bed for 3 days while taking it. I think it might work if I didn't go through the being tired. With CFS I believe it is multiplying the fatigue. I was very bad off there for a few days with it and with the fatigue comes the major depression. I see my Dr. today so I am going to see about cutting it in half or what his thought is on it.

If you think it is working, then it most likely is. I hope it does the job for you.

It is like I said I am on so many meds right now that I don't know what is working and what is not. I hate that feeling. I just want to be normal again. I know that will never happen and I am trying to deal with everything but it is extremely hard. Thank you for your advice.

I'm with you all. I'm so tired all the time I can't function. I'm on 800 mg three times a day. I've gotten so I only take it at night, (haven't told my pm yet). I woke up about a hr ago, and I know I need to go back to sleep for another few hrs. It's like this every day. I used to be a morning person, but now I'm luck if I can stay awake more then a total of 7-8 hrs a day. I just wish I could function like I used to.
