Default Autumnal depression

Hi all,

I was looking for something entirely different when I stumbled upon this article, which basically says that literally millions and millions of people suffer from SAD, Seasonal Affective Depression, common during October and November.
http://www.psychologytoday.com/artic...01-000003.html

When I lived in the UK, it was never the cold that got me down, it was the lack of light (dark from 4.00pm - 9.00am) . Last few years I lived there I just had to get out every February to somewhere bright, I couldn't take any more - just wanted God to come along and switch on that big light-bulb in the sky!

I thought that knowing it's an "officially recognised" condition at this time of the year might cheer us all up
all the best

Default me too

count me in too.....i'm totally a solar energy human being.....just can't keep my batteries charged when the sun doesn't shine from early morning to late night!

years ago, before anyone had heard of SAD, when i would get this way (and i'm worst around the end of winter) my hubby named it "the Febru-wearies" and that says it all.......i didn't know it could strike in the fall as well, but with the shorter days, that certainly makes sense!

thx for the article!
