Default A little confused

My OT told me today that she thinks I have CRPS. I asked her isn't that the same as RSD? She said its a type of RSD but in a category by itself under RSD. I thought CRPS was just the new name for RSD? Am I wrong? Also I was washing my hands at OT last week to have it dipped in wax, well the water got a little to hot. It burned my skin on my RSD (right) hand on the thumb. Its still redish pink. My OT says its cuz the nerve endings are messed up from my injury. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
