Confused need help, with IME Dr? I have full body RSD

Hello
I am kind of new on here,
the last time I use it was when I was trying to find out what was going on with me,

long story short, I was in an auto crash, and no one seem to know what was going on, till 4 mouths ago, when I was told that I have RSD and that it is was FULL BODY! little late now, for treatment, is what I was told,
not like that, but that is the way I feel!

last year my auto ins co, cut me off due to an IME Dr, saying that there was not a thing wrong with me, even thou I could not walk, my foot was swollen and toe where curled under my foot, (neat trick) and could not open my hand
and yes all the good things that go with RSD like color change and BURNING PAIN lost all tone on that side of my body,
all from when someone hit me, and I ended up with H C4C5C6C7 and whiplash, we know she did this, I had an MRI just before she hit me and it was clear, but I was getting worse then better, so my INS Co had me see an IME Dr, and in his report also he added, that I would feel better after I got paid,

Now that I found out what I have, FULL BODY RSD due to my Auto crash, and I am fighting for my benny fits back, they are having me go for one more IME,
and its with the same IME Dr, they sent me to last year
my Lawyer, is not sure he wants me to see the same IME Dr from last year
but then again, he thinks maybe it would work, this IME Dr, did everything but call me a lair out right! he was rude and lied,

any thoughts would be so helpful,

thank you
Kelly,

What you need is a dr of your own that can point out the wrong parts of the IME drs report.. Do you have a dr that will be able to do that?

Sometimes having a obviously poor IME report makes it easier for your dr to refute the points.

your lawyer needs to clarify that part for you and lawyer needs to point out problems /issues in IME report also with your own drs report & help.

The more clout & good reputation your dr has makes his report stronger than one from an IME that only sees you for a single short appt.

Can't your lawyer demand a different doc for this IME? I know with work comp that the lawyer you have has input as to what doc is seen and both sides agree on it. I had an IME like that myself and it's devastating how we're treated. But, after all, they're being paid by the insurance company to write down exactly what the ins company wants them to say, not the truth!

I read somewhere that if you go to an IME, that within a couple of days you should see your doc to document your current condition so as to better refute a really bad report.

Hugs,

Karen

Thank you

Oh yes I have a lot of Dr's that say, his report is CRAP! and my GP I been seeing her for 15+years, now, and she knows me very well, and then my pain Dr, he has been treating me for free for over a year now, he was the 1st one to think it was RSD, and then he sent me to a Dr, that deals with RSD,
and for one you can see it on me also, not sure if that helps, but you can see it
lost one of my toe nails now, and more are getting thick also,
I go from red to white, mostly my hands and feet, and left arm have red rash that comes and goes and swells up, , I have pics if there is a way I can post them,,? My OT and PT and everyone that has seen me now, have seen RSD before, and they all say the same thing, that is what I have, the only thing is, that they never seen it as bad as I am, and do not know what to do with me, I can not stand up steat at all, I am bent over, kind of stuck like that, nice! and can not lift my arms, only when I bend them in to me, can I then lift them, still no one is really worried about that,
its been over 2 years like that,
and not that I had a flair up in my l arm, I can not out it all the way out, it is stuck, I can not started it out all the way now,

hope you can read my spelling, besides my hands don't work that good no more, and it makes typing hard, and thinking, is fuzzy at times, so I am

thank you again
Kelly

yes I think he can ask for a new IME Dr, and we all know that he will say the same thing, what the Ins Co tells them what to write in there reports

I am thinking that seeing the same IME Dr, might work in my faver
even thou I know he will say that there is not a thing wrong with me but maybe everyone will see just how unfair this IME Dr is, ?? but he also said that I would feel better after I got paid, hmm that was last May, and I sure am not any better, so in a way, his opinion his Dr-ing . was all WRONG!
I am a lot worse then last year, and I am sure he a Dr that knows about RSD

its just my Lawyer never ran in to that also, seeing the same IME Dr more then once for the same case, they send you to diff ones each time, is what I been told,

There is a post up at the top of the board there for pics and stuff. To post a pic all you need to do is at the top of the message box is a small yellow square that looks like it has a mountain in it,lol, when you put your cursor on it it will say Insert Image. Click on that and copy and paste the link where your pic is at. Photobucket is where I upload my images to post from. Use the link under a pic there for forums and boards, click Ok and the image will pop up in your post!

Hope you can follow that. LOL

Hugs,

Karen

PS I've never heard of going for an IME at the same doc twice either! With so many other docs backing you up and your dx (diagnosis), I wouldn't worry too much about what that dumb butt doc says!

Oh, don't worry or be sorry about your spelling. We understand when arms aren't working right.
