Thumbs up I Like Strawberry Milkshake PopTarts!!!

QUOTE FROM JOSE'S POST!!! "Grits are pretty sticky...and orka is pretty slimy if you boil it (Yucky that way too...it is best Fried, like most Southern Food. LOLOL). We can make a grit-orka patty/sloppy thing, and throw it out the window at people that act ugly to us on the road....when Debby isn't looking, that is. "

Jose!! - If it's all the same I'll pass on the Orka and Grits thank you!!. My doc says that I need to cut back on my Orka. It's been raising my cholesterol!!

You can call yourself a cook if you want, knock yourself out!! LOL!

Love Mark xoxo

Default Debby

You can bring your Capn Crunch! What was so funny about Jose's post to me was how she spelt Okra! Orka! I think that is a Killer Whale? Shoot with that on the bus there won't be any room for us or real food! ROTFLMSHO!!!!

When I was a kid I would only eat the cereals that had toys in them! It always thrilled my Mom to have to buy the more expensive cereals just so I could have a stupid toy! And of course it was ritual to open it for the first time, dumping it all into a huge bowl just so I could get the toy rather than waiting!! Now mind you the cereal usually was already fortified with 200 lbs of sugar and I always had to add 40 scoops more. And my Mom was always thrilled with me bouncing of the walls the rest of the day destroying the house on a sugar high! I guess I have been dealing with addictions all of my life!!

This trip is is going to have us all tripping!!! OoooWeeeeee!!!!

Mark

*LOL* Tripping more ways than one that is for sure *ROFL* Oh man I remember toys in cereal. My brother Joel & I usually fought over them, until Mom made us take turns. But we could always trade.......We were poor dirt farmers so to get the cereal with toys we had to beg.....& eat oatmeal more often.....boy my Mom or Dad could make a mean oatmeal..........and we really weren't poor. We always had all that we needed & most of what we wanted. And we always had food & lots of love growing up. I had my Dad wrapped around my little finger. See I almost died when born & then again a week later. So I was pretty special. They were only gonna have one kid & I sorta surprised them 3 years after my brother, Joel, was born. Joel had my Mom wrapped around his little finger. So it equaled out between us *LOL*

But yup this trip is gonna be a real tripping trip

Exclamation Grumble grumble...Mutter mutter

(Grumble grumble..)

And how do YOU know that I WASN'T talking about ORKA?? Hmmmmm????

(Grumble grumble....mutter, mutter...)

And to think that I actually was being nice, and helping you out with that "memmers" thing. *Sheesh*!

(Mutter, mutter....Grumble, grumble...grouch mutter....)

Humph. I can TOO cook! (Mutter, mutter, mutter...)

See if I care. Humph. You just wont GET any, how's that? HMMMMmmmmmMMMM?????

(Grumble..)

Strawberry Milkshake Poptarts??? Ick! A Milkshake in a POPTART??? I'd rather eat grits and...that "O" word any day! (ROFL!)

Debby...I am going to sit with YOU, and you can play with my Whoopie cushions! We can make faces at Mark (in fact, I am pulling faces at him right now...So THERE! ), and we can make fart noises louder than his any day of the week, even if he does cheat by wearing grass skirts, or any other kind of skirt, so that the noise escapes easier. I'll bring gas masks too, and sneak under seat, and put that lighter of yours to good use! ROFLMASOSNORTING!!! (Oops! Ouch! Dang it! I HAVE to stop doing that! I don't want to be snorting around Mark...especially if he is going to be competing with the whoopie cushions in a totally male sorta way! Ewwwwwww, Yucky! Pewie Stinky!!! LOLOL!)

I also don't know what the hell a ... is either??? I wonder if it is gross?? I mean, after all of that recent stretching and shrinking and strecthing again, that he went through....you never know what his ... could be?? It might even have HAIR growing out of it!!!!! Or...something even WORSE!!!

Well....I am off to go and catch a Orka for the trip (Bllllrrrrp {raspberry noise} Mark. LOL). Wish me luck. Those things are buggers to catch, let alone reel in! And, dodging the coast guard and Greenpeace is no easy feat either! Then there is finding my ancient family recipe....I haven't used it in ages...and I think I lent it out......Hmmmmmm...........

Uhhhh.....anyone going to help dig the pit? Or, they got a REALLY BIG oven or Microwave?? (LOLOL)

I got LOTS of work to do before the bus heads out....
(grumbles some more at Mark under breath...)

((hugs))
Jose the Grouch

PS..I'm not talking to Mark. Or sharing my make up w/him!!! So THERE!!! again.

Wink can't leave u kids for a minute

i think this thread had about 5 items in it the last time i looked and now it's up to several pages!.....honestly, i just can't turn my back on y'all for a second!

(and that "y'all" is as southern as i intend to get.....c'mon now folks -- fried greens?....grits?....and corn nuts ARE SO a southern thing.....u can get laughed out of a 7-11 around here for asking for them!)

anyway, mark, it looks like i'm one of the first stops on the trip, so swing thru PA and i'll climb on the bus with a HUGE batch of philadelphia cinnamon buns (now THAT'S regional cooking worth talking about!!).....i'm planning on sitting up front so that if we run into any boring state troopers who think that ALL traffic rules should be obeyed, i can do my law-abiding granny thing and flash my AARP card (complete with senior driving certificate).....who's going to give any grief to a sweet (i can fake it), gray-haired, little, chubby grandmother?.....i could be your get-out-of-jail free card!

i assume we're bringing our pets along?.....we can always incite the dogs to bark if we need additional rowdy noise and/or behavior!

Exclamation Liz..You didn't! Sandel..trying to get Help on the way!

OMG Liz!!

ROFLMAO! You DID NOT go into a 7-11 asking for grits and greens of ANY kind, did you? Those aren't things that you get in a convenience store! Not even down here!! They would look at you like you had lost your marbles and say "Bless her heart" after you left the store. Tell me you didn't really try to find grits and greens in the 7-11??? LOLOLROFLSNORTING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now...the Corn Nuts? That is a different thing entirely. Here is a web site for you to check out:

http://www.planters.com/cornnuts/

So..See? They are NOT a "Southern Thing" at all. ROFL..YOu have just been under a rock or something. But, that history thing says "Corn"...but they are Hominy! Yuck yuck yuck! Either that, or the biggest friggin corn that I have ever seen...and the weirdest (yuckiest) tasting, to boot. My Mom LOVES those things...and she used to get them all the time when my brother and I were kids and we went on trips or car rides. She thought it was a "treat". It was....for her. Gag puke choke. I don't remember if Greg likes them or not. Probably, or he at least acted like he did, because Mom wouldn't usually get something that only one of us (and that included her) liked. I just wouldn't have any.....except when she would say (like she ALWAYS did...and still tries to..LOL) "TRY SOME, Jo! You never know! You just might like them, because your tastes are always changing!" Yeah..right. They are..and they do...but not THAT dang much! ROFL!

So....you shouldn't have gotten laughed out of 7-11 about the Corn Nuts...but surely would have for the Grits and Greens. I am surprised that they didn't call the men in the white coats if you really went in asking for them! ROFL!

Man...I am really laughing hard at you, Sweetie! Grits and Greens at the 7- 11, and you trying to use that Little Old Lady Driver's Ed Certificate for something else, too! ROFLMAO! You know what I Think? I think that you are just trying to have an excuse to sit by Mark, that is what I think! ROFL!! Either that, or to flirt with the State Troopers that WILL pull us over when Debby swerves around because Mark is getting all in her way, or because Mark is trying to climb up on top of the bus to do the Hula or the Tango or some other dang thing. ROFL...Little Old Lady..Sheesh!

Well...I am still working on my Orka Dilemma. See...when I say that I have an "Ancient Family Recipe"...I ain't foolin'. I really mean Ancient!! I am having some troubles figuring out what kind of fishing line would be best to use in reeling in such a large creature? Oh...and also what kind of apparatus to reel it in with? A tree? I have thought about borrowing a wench from on of the Good Ol' Boys around here, that they use for all of the Haulin' and Towin' that they do...so I pretty much think I got that covered. But...the line. Hmmm. My Ancestors only say (on the recipe, you see...) "Use Rope. Very Big Rope. Ugg." So....I am also checking hardware stores all the way from here to the beach. But..do not worry! I will persevere! We will have Orka and Okra and Grits and Greens AND CORN NUTS, or my name isn't Jose!!!

LOLOL. Then...I am trying to figure out how to convert this recipe. Lets see...you roast a Turkey at 350 to 375 (you can get away with that higher temp if you are really careful)...and after this Thanksgiving, I am all messed up on how long per pound? I mean..I had a stupid turkey that weighed about 19 to 19.5 lbs, that too 7...SEVEN!!! Hours to cook?? No chart that I had said it should take THAT long...and no bird I have ever cooked of comparable size (or even a little bigger!!) has ever taken that long to cook before! But....I am wondering.....exactly...how long do you reckon we are talking about cooking this big fella here? And...what do you stuff one with? That part of my recipe is kinda ...well.....blurred and bit...and missing....Hmmmmm.

Anyway. Liz...I hope that my link up there helps you with the Corn Nut Dilemma, and proves that I, myself, am not a "Corn Nut", or Nut of any kind! ROFL...See? I TOLD You there was such a thing! And..Please? Don't go and ask for grits and greens and okra (spelled it right that time! LOL), or fat back...or any other "weird southern food" that I told you about, in a 7- 11....Ok? I don't want you to freak out those poor folks up there, or have them laying in wait for your next visit to catch you and send you to the looney bin. Then we would have to go and break you out before we could get on our way picking everyone up so we could get to Hawaii. Poor Sandel is FREEZING up there in Canada! Didn't you see her "HELP!!!" post? Someone run go get her, and let her hang with them so she can thaw out a little while she waits for the rest of us to get our crap together! Shoot...just about anywhere down in the US would be warmer than where she is, from what I have seen!

Don't worry Sandel! We will get Help on the way ASAP!!!! We just have to keep Liz out of 7-11's, and Mark...well...away from Poptarts and skirts and with his..... covered (whatever the crap that is! LOL)

((hugs))
Jose <---who is wondering if Corn Nuts would make good bait? ROFL!

Corn nuts for bait??? You mean for fishies? Wait...do fishies have teeth? It would break their lil toofies off. Corn nuts are ok in my book but POPTARTS are better. But bring on the cimanon rolls. Can't say cimanon but I can sure eat it.

Mark is gonna give me NO trouble. Don't wanna see his or whatever he calls it either I won't use the duct tape if he promises to sit on his hands. Don't want no faces either

You are such a weirdo Jose....made my morning...laughing and choking on coffee.

See y'all on the bus!!!
