DO NOT use epsom salts as an enema.
You can poison yourself this way. For soaking it is a great symptom reducer. Those who have dramatic improvements with epsom salts, need to consider improving the diet to contain more magnesium, or to take supplements. Many people are low in this mineral. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread1138.html For supplement doses aim for 1/2 the RDA which is about 200mg of elemental. The above post has alot information I have gathered over the years to help. There are other things that help block the NMDA receptors for pain. zinc melatonin (recently discovered) magnesium
