Default Trouble In Paradise

Hi Everyone,
As most of you know I moved to the country less than a year ago. I love the area. But my husband does not have a job here. So he only comes here on weekends.

I feel horriable because my husband rented our house in the city and they are good renters, and my husband is giving them notice. I feel bad for them.

But I had major surgery a bit over amonth ago. It's to much on me to be out here on my own all week. I can barely take care of my youngest son here on my own.

Not to mention their are no Docs to help me out here. I guess it's back to city life for me. Hugs, Roz

Default Dang It All Roz

Why don't we ever get a break? I would like just one person to answer that question for me. Everyone one of us on here has so much to deal with already and if that isn't enough. Than we have to have our lives disrupted but so many other things that we feel we have so little control over.

Are we being punished? Truly I ask that with all seriousness. Not a day I don't come on here and find one of my friends being faced with one trial or tribulation after another. When is it going to stop. To hell with pain free days. How about giving us "Chaos Free Days"!!! Just ONE and I would be content for a while.

Well I keep my fingers crossed for ya my dear. I would say a prayer or two for ya in hopes that everything works out but I am beginning to think that that is nothing more than a whole lote of religious retirick.

If nothing else Chin Up!!

Mark

Dear Roz -

I can appreciate how frustrating the last few months and weeks have been for you. I didn't realize that you were on your own caring for your son during the week. Ugh. If there is any little thing I would suggest, it would be hiring one or more person(s) who would be responsible for packing and unpacking your household - putting things back up on the walls, etc, when you move back into Greater Paradise.

And following on Mark's comment, I am reminded of the words of Ram Das (fka Richard Alpert, PhD.), musing on the many changes life had brought him, from being the golden boy son of the president of the New Haven RR, a psychology researcher at Harvard before his runnings with Tim Leary got him canned, and then a really interesting Hindu teacher until in February 1997, he experienced a stroke which left him with expressive aphasia and partial paralysis. The funny thing is, the stroke just changed the nature of the explorations that he is making as he goes through life; using the after effects of the stroke - what life has dished out - to explore the spiritual dimensions of suffering and the nature of the aging process. In his words:
You take the curriculum.
Mike

Hi Mark,
I have asked why myself, more than once. I was raised fairly strict to put one foot in front of the other and do what you have to do. But with RSD you can't do that.

We are all bonded by this RSD stuff. I am considering getting a Houveround myself. Maybe I will just get a License Plate that says Driver In Training. When I do a bit of walking I get very light headed. I also fall at times.

The renters are very upset about having to move, they were given notice about a hour ago.

The only thing that keeps me going is hope. I have been reading a bit on stem cells, where they take the cells from are own bodies. So their is less chance of rejection and no morals issues involved. I am also trying to learn about the anti oxident that Vicc talks about alot. Big Hugs, Roz

Hi Mike,
I am thinking about hiring a moving company. To pack and unpack. I just hate having to micro-manage people. But I need subclavicle artery compressed again like I need a bleady hole in my head.

Thanks for the advice. My stubborn spirit is just learning from the school of hard knocks right now. I am excepting the move a bit better this evening. Hugs, Roz

Roz:

i am so sorry you have to move back to the city. i too would be heartbroken if i had to leave our farm. the air is so clean here and the absence of constant noice from cars etc so peaceful. i know when i go to town the stench of auto exhaust, the noise , the rows of houses just seems depressing. i went shopping yesterday and the small crowds just wore me out.

i know i will reach the point where city life will be the only option, but for now i'll stay out here.

get a moving company to come in and pack. you can supervise. make this as simple and easy on yourself as possible.

will be thinking of you

hugs and prayers

Hi Farm Wife,
I live in Southern CA. So I found this great place that really isn't like CA. The people are friendly and kind. I live in a small cabin that's so cute. My husband is in Construction Big Building Projects. I was hoping he would build a few residental homes a year out here and slow down. I guess I was dreaming.
Look what I am moving from.

Where I have to move back to is 5 lanes of traffic one way. RSD has really taught me the kiss method. Keep It Simple Stupid. When I get stronger I was thinking I can always move back. I have always been so independent.

Hugs, Roz

Ahh Roz .....that sucks- but life is what it is and ya gotta suck it up like you say unfortunately ,or it will get you, instead of you getting it -Get it?
That does not mean however that you cannot mourn and be sad at your recent losses and hopes and dreams .You just have to move on(eventually).
One day at a time,it will all work out ..
Somehow it isn't as unmanageable that way...and traffic won't come at you from all directions all at once-maybe one freeway at a time.
I know the traffic here has become unbearable .It is so hard to get things done-but we are not islands that can do everything alone.Help is a good thing.

You have a wonderful heart thinking of the renters but you must think how this move will best serve your family - your son. That is the most important dynamic here.

On another note my PM doc does a minor treatment with wydase. He calls it a meat tenderizer for scar tissue - not sure if I would use that analogy.
Anyway -if I feel my TOS acting up on either side (about every year and a half it gets to that point ) he does a day procedure similar to a block in experience and time whereby through fluroscopy he puts wydase on the scalene area .It breaks up scar tissue over the ensuing 2 week period ( hence the tenderizer as opposed to immediate ketchup effect???) and I do feel a whole lot better. So decompression out - wydase in!
Moving by yourself - still out

Much peace
GnP

Oh Roz, what a lovely community you live in. i would love being by the water. lol

i'm sure you will make your city home just that. a home. some things give us peace and quiet and that's all well and good. but a home is everything. it doesn't matter where that is. at least you can get back in touch with your old neighbors. i'm sure they missed you. just think, neighbors over for coffee in the kitchen. someone who calls just to see if you need anything from the grocery store....... it doesn't matter what we lose, we gain something else. more lemonaide please

i'll be thinking of you and continue to wish you happiness.

hugs and prayers

roz,

it's just gorgeous......i'd hate to leave it, too.....i hope u find something in your return to city life to make it seem better to u......and PLEASE let the movers do the pack/unpack for u.....moving isn't easy under the best of circumstances, and recent surgery doesn't qualify as good conditions.

take care of yourself.
