First off, I had to touch on the great weather here in Co. today. It's 62 outside and I took a walk. Spring is either in the air or the birds never left for the winter. I don't blame them though. After growing up in Ky., if I were a bird I wouldn't want to fly South either. LOL
Anyway, I found this on the computer last night and what it talks about is that Sienna Leaf tea works better for constipation then a laxative. Not sure that's true but I didn't know if we had ever talked about this tea. Right now, I am doing good with the constipation. I am off my meds, I watch what I eat but at times if I eat the wrong thing, I am really messed up. Have any of you tried this? Just wondering. Ada |

I'm just dreaming when I think it's here to stay.
It's going to snow Thursday here maybe. It's going to be 70 tomorrow. Carrie, The weather is different back your way this year. My sister calls me all of the time from Ky. and it's been really warm there too. Sure not like I remember growing up. I did try the Merilax and I can't take it. It actually makes my constipation worse but it's because of my other gastro problems. It also bloated me worse but I do know that those meds help others. I am thinking of getting the tea. Another thing that seems to be helping me is prunes. My Dad use to boil them in water to soften them up for constipation. Everyone is different, huh? Ada |

We are still being faked out by the weather.
My boys walked out this morning with shorts on. I was thinking how strange our weather is. It's hitting near the 70's and is going to stay that way for awhile. March will tell it all. In with a Lion and out with a Lamb or visa versa. Ada |

We were suppose to get some snow here today but didn't. Suppose to be back in the 70's tomorrow.
The wind has been blowing a lot lately. Even in the house I can feel it. Today not so bad. Ada |

Hi Dream Believer,
I have major problems with constipation and have tried everything under the sun. Only thing I ever use now is Sienna leaf tea. I drink Smooth Move by Traditional Medicinals they have it on Amazon. Works like a charm, promise. Its gentle but works same day. good luck! Last edited by mrsD; 03-07-2011 at 03:53 PM. Reason: removing link re guidelines for new posters |

I am on amitza for constipation now. I don't know if the tea would help me due to my system shutting down. I'm also on Mitformin for the Metabolic Syndrome.
I do pretty good until I take a med that makes me more constipated or just go through a bad spell now. I am having some other bowel problems so mine just goes back to my stomach not working right. I might get some of the tea and try it though when I am having a bad time with it. Thanks for the info. Ada |

Any hot tea should help, especially if you part take first thing in the morning. Even an 18 oz glass of the hottest tap water plain should help. But don't go too far from the facilities for an hour or so.
And if you begin a habit of drinking it first thing every morning, some regularity might visit you inspite of meds plug! And a bonus, less colds and sore throats. Success to you! pat
