Carrie,
I hope that you didn't think that I found your post offensive; this is something that we as citizens really need to think about and discuss as information comes out. We can all agree that something needs to be done and there is a wonderful opportunity for the US to learn from what works and doesn't work in other systems.
This is a hot topic for me as I am in health care and many of the docs where I work have also worked in other countries and systems.
You should not have to worry about being offensive and I hope that you weren't offended by my reply. I think as long as it's not political and everyone is open to the thoughts of others, we can only learn through discussion.

Dear Everyone,

I hope these lines find all of you on your journey to recovery. I have to agree with MsL here, I have heard the Swiss Medical Care will even send you on a holiday.

I have personally experienced 3 different countries of medical care thru out my life, not in Switzerland however.

My personal experience is the States, England and Mexico.

In the States I have a PPO with a secondary. That is supposed to be the best you can get.

Do you think it is??? I have my doubts, if you understand billing codes you might no why. Hugs to everyone, Roz

no i wasnt offend i am like you something has to be done to fix this issue with healthcare. my docs feel the same way i have one that has been all over practing med from india to eurpoe and he has doc friends that even come from italy that he works with and does research with. just like he couldt believe that my insurance from the hospital that he works at charges 4k to fill my pump when its only 1000-1500$ he didnt believe i took him the bill to show . this is ridiculus that they get away with it. i just wish that they could figure something out that isnt goin to take away from ppl that need it or do worse

i posted this to see how others felt about the way healthcare needs to be changed and what everyones thoughs were on this subject and not political at all
