Default Hi Debby,

I had growing pains so bad growing up that I remember laying in bed at night and crying from them.

Out of the 10 of us kids, I have been the only one sick from childhood althought I have lost 3 siblings to cancer and have one fighting colon cancer now, they never got sick until the cancer.

I had toothaches, earaches, growing pains, and cronic fatigue as a kid.

I do believe that it is a precursor of what a lot of us are going through now. Especially the Fibro.

I think back then and in Ky. people just used the home remedies instead of taking kids to the Dr. Daddy always had good insurance. I do remember if we were too sick, my Uncle would take us to the Dr. and then he'd see to it that we got on the bus. Daddy had to go to work so he couldn't take us.

That's how my sister and I went 12 years of school without missing a day. We were sick, we just had to go to school no matter what.

Default Hi Carrie,

My daughter didn't have growing pains and neither do my two Grandson's. They are 14 and 15 and in football, basketball, and never sit still. I am thankful for that.

My feeling today is that growing pains are something more serious that they should look at in kids. I really don't like the fact that they say, " oh, they're just having growing pains."

I hope your daughter starts feeling better soon. I wonder too if they might show up more in girls then boys. Never thought of that one.
