Unhappy going to the doctor today

Hi everyone...just need a little lift to get me ready to see my doctor today. This is the one who didn't believe my rsd had spread to my right arm as well as left because he "had never seen it before." I know my case manager will probably be there pushing this pain program some more... I feel like I am facing a trial or something just going in. I also dread the drive...not easy. I am having a lot of spasms today so I'm kinda scared to drive- no choice though. Does anyone else get tired of being poked and prodded? I just want one week to myself sometimes....I told my case manager the other day that at least she gets weekends off...I live in this body everyday.

*Big Hugs* I don't know what these "docs" are reading that they believe rsd doesn't spread! They have access to the internet and being doctors they have access to medical studies and journals that we lowly peons can't get to!! How hard is it??!!??

I wish you had someone to take you to the doc with the way you're feeling. Be careful and stay safe!

The only thing I'm glad about is no longer having to be poked and prodded at by stupid people who don't have a clue. It's unfair they're pushing you toward this program. Hang in there and let us know how it does. I wish you much luck!

Big Big Hugs,

Karen

Take a deep breath and drive slow. It is hard to go to see a dr. who doesn't believe you. Mine is like that, I'm looking for another. Gentle hugs and be safe.

Hugs
Mary

Jennelle,

Let us know how the doctor visit turned out. I'm sure you will feel relieved once it is all over.

Best regards,

EJ

Heart dr visit

sorry if my typing is a bit off it becomes more difficult as the day goes on. My case manager was not there so that was a blessing. My doctor changes around them and I think he is more apt to get a good handle on things if they are not around. I have to get another bonescan done to see if the rsd has spread, and and emg to see if i have nerve-damage to my left shoulder joint. This joint has gotten really loose and pt and my ortho feel I could roll over one night and my arm will come completley out of socket./eventhough the case manager wasn't there her hell program "pain progam" info was now she has overtaken all my docts with this cramp.
I must say though I appreciate your concern for me....it is such a relief to have friends out there like you all are. I drove carefully and let your encouagement follow me to the visit. The doc even suggested that maybe I should see his partner because he is more knowledgeable about rsd. Why did he take me as a patient then thought i would just be a strained muscle and that would be alll......sorry tired......will talk later.
want to give so much thanksJennelle

Confused How far are you driving?

How far are you driving? Are you on pain meds while driving? If you are not able to drive yourself, or get a friend or relative to assist you, WC is suppose to help you make it to your appts.

Why is case manager telling your doc what to do?

I only had one case mgr./surg. nurse visit with the 2nd ortho surg; specifically, to request I have an FCE( functional capacity eval) done..so that doc could release me, MMI.

Case Mgr. is NOT in your corner. Their job is to close your case ASAP. The longer you are out of work, the more chance you will not go back, and the bigger your claim will be against ins. co.

Hang in there.

The moment WC refuses treatment, I hope u have an atty. on standby.

I get mileage because I am driving( spouse or son drives me) over 20 miles ,one way, to see the doc. WC pays .55 per mile.

I hope you rest tonight.
