my neurosurgeon was goin to use dbs on me but my rsd is too wide spread and he thought that the coverage wouldnt be good enough there was a guy that posted a mnth or 2 ago that he had seen the group of neurosurgeons that i see and he had DBS for his RSD .. i know that it does work for some ...my grandmother has essential tremors and had DBS done almost 1yr ago and it helped tremendously so amazing..

Thanks for your response- My RSD is also very widespread so I guess it is not a good option- I don't know- will talk to the doc again to see what my options may be

angelrsd 04-13-2009 10:39 PM

it is the same i dont have morphine tho i have fentanyl . i am allergic to morphine. it has dropped my pain low enough tha ti can do enough LOL it is a big surgery but i think that it is better than SCS ther eis just so many problems that go with the SCS in my opion
