Usually the affected limb itself is cold or hot to the touch. Its a definate noticable difference in temperature. Though I have talked to & noticed many of us also are sensitive to temperture changes. And I have a couple friends like you how are very cold but so is my Mom & she doesnt have RSD but has artheritis in several places.

The affected limb is hotter (sweating) or colder (icy sensation) than the other (normal) limbs (depending on the stage of the RSD, as you go through the stages). You will feel that it's not just a hot or cold sensation like you can have over your entire body, but that it's really a limb behaving oddly, as if it's slowly being discarded by the rest of the body almost... hard to explain to someone who doesn't experience it. It's as if it starts having a life of its own. It's accompanied by differences in sensation, by pain (burning/ice cold), stiffness, limited range of motion, discoloration (hot/red - blue/cold), swelling,...

What do you experience in your RSD limb?

Heart

I also go hot and cold even in the limbs that don't have RSD. My body seems to be very sensitive to temperature changes. I think that it is worse for me also because I am a teenager.

My limbs affected by the RSD are usually the ones that are worse affected and go very hot and sweaty or cold. My mum can literally see sweat dripping out of my arms and it is very emarrassing. I saw my PM Dr last Tuesday and he too was amazed at how bad it was.

Sorry that I can't help you that much, just know that you aren't alone and are in my thoughts!!
