Hi Stephen,

Thanks for the advice, I shall bear it in mind. I don't take Zantac too often but need it occasionally - residual problems from a healing stomach ulcer (taken nearly a year, getting better very gradually week by week) which was caused by the helicobacter pylori gremlin.

I'm not sure if what I get is reflux, it's more like severe discomfort with major burping/gas difficulties - that's when I take Zantac, which helps a lot. Normally a short course will settle it. I have tried other things which just don't work as well.

Sorry you're in such pain and distress, has anyone suggested a better treatment regime for you?
all the best.
