Crazy RSD and teeth Follow Up

Ooowww! Well I had part one done of my root canal and now I have a mouthful of painful teeth (not tooth). I got a heavy duty dose of novacaine but damn it wasn't enough. Next week I'm asking to be given more anesthetic during the procedure. And I took 8mg. Dilaudid before I went. keep your fingers crossed for me for next week.

Ooo

I am sorry you are in pain. I hope you feel better soon. I fear the dentist, myself. It is a necessary evil as far as I am concerned, even BEFORE the RSD/CRPS.

Let me know how you are doing,ok?

Hi Kililina,
I'm so sorry about your dental pain. I've been putting off a needed cleaning and check up, as I am so scared. My dentist has researched RSD and gives me antibiocs the day of the visit. He also numbs the area that he will be working on with something topical. Now, since have RSD, I use the mask with nitrous oxide (laughing gas) And the day of appointment I make sure I take my anti-anxiety med and pain med. There is a web site where a prominent Florida Dr. treating RSD for many years has some info about dental work and RSD. It's rsdrx.com Dr. Hooshmand has retired but still has his web up.
It may be under puzzles, which are 140 questions and answers.
We will be thinking of you for next week. Please let us know how you are doing. I can't imagine having my teeth hurt like the rest of me. I have full body. Please rest up and try to relax. It WILL by OVER next week! Your friend, loretta

Crazy

I did check out Dr. Haashmoods site but didn't find it very helpful for dental info. I always get the topical anesthetic before the needle full of juice. Oh I forgot I am an absolute chicken about the dentist but go because I know it's the right thing to do. I'll keep you informed after next weeks appointment. Thanks for all your thoughts and wishes. Love to you all, Chris
