Default True

True! What great encouragement and verses. God's grace is sufficient and the Joy of the Lord is my strenth. I am thankful for the opportunities to be a witness and testimony during this, but it is still a struggle. Mine was caused by a fall which broke my elbow. Not sure what level I have, just know I have had swelling, discoloration, pain, etc. The worst is over, but still have intermittent pain, that I am sure all can understand.

Thanks again and I am praying. Will pray for you, as well as the others. Take care of yourself. Suz

I'd like to know that answer to that too. I get alot of charlie horse type pain in my feet and toes; especially when cold. I had a bunion removal in my rt foot several years before I was diagnosed with RSD, but the pains have gotten worse since my diagnosis. Curious to know more. Take care, Suz

i had read a post (I believe it was an old post from this board) where a woman had all the RSD symptoms in her foot...she went to a chiropractor who did ten minutes worth of adjustments and over a few days all her RSD symptoms disappeared. She then had to have a lot of therapy to regain the strength and mobility in her foot...Wow..that's a happy ending!!!

How does your doc know you have nerve entrapment? My whole foot is a bundle of burn and nerve pain...each step is a crisis! and it carries over to my right foot and lower leg..
There are so many of us in the same RSD boat with our feet and legs!!
Take care, Bobber

hopefor the best
ive had 2 foort dr;s that looked at me in feb of this year after looking at where the cut [on the back of the right heel had healed] they did a MRI which showed scar tissue, near the calcaneal nerve which wraps around both side of the outside of the heel. ,the exrays were worthless tho,and my pain in the injury site was sensitive when i got into the bathtub,,hot water made it sting like a 9volt battery was on it,,then the mottling started soon after ,,around the heel..but only one dr out of 10 thought i may have causalgia due to the nerve damaged tissue when i cut it on a door,,the rest,,thought it was nothing,,then the other foot dr saw the colors going into[mirroed] into the other leg and ordered nerve blocks,,which he onlky did 3,,,the 1st one he admitted he missed,,he refused to do a series,,[painmed dr],,,he fought me tooth and nail that i didnt have rsd but an autoimmune disease or MS,,after blood panels,,bonescand the a emg,,he looked at me after tapping on the injury site, which sent electrical pains down thru my foot and up the back of the leg, and said after 3or 4 months of wasted prescious time that i couldve used to do nerve blocks or something in that small window to throw it into remission,,,,,that i had rsd,,causalgia due to the nerveentrapment,,thats why it spread so fast,,rsd1 doesnt, theres no nerve entrapment but type 2[causalgia] involves and ussuallly starts with a nerve damage[bullet wound or knife wound] entapment thats why its 3 times as fast,,also [aintsobad,,pete] mentioned a book thats about 250.00 bucks,,i tapped into it a littlebit on line,,,he shows that causalgia does spread at an excellerate rate,,,,,,but i do know this,,im doing theropy, with pain or without pain,,and i look better now than i have in 6months,,,,,,xanax is good for my flares,,and hopefor the best,,,or anyone ,,if you want to ever pm me do it or just call..575-494 7280,,,i work for the Lord and will help anyone,,,,,bobber,,,,,,,,,,,ps,,,,God will heal,,,,im banging at his door,,,,he is a gracious and Loving God and the only true physcian

Hi Bobber,
It's hard to comprehend that a small injury/surgery can grow into such an overwhelming condition...from what I understand, you can even develop RSD from an insect sting or bite......

Thanks for sharing all the details of your heel surgery and the different test you had afterward..I, too, in one of my previous posts, wrote how/sad/angry I was at wasted time, too....in the diagnosis..

I think you had mentioned you are doing pool therapy and how helpful it is for you....as soon as it quiets down at work I'm going to leave an hour early on Friday to get back into the warm therapy pool (93 degrees).. It's not open on week-ends and its the only warm therapy pool around...

Even though it flares up the nerve pain for a couple of days afterward, it really helped in controlling the swelling...plus, it made me feel so relaxed and put me in a positive state of mind...
Bobber, it is so kind of you to share your phone number for all of us..it is reassuring to know your help and understanding is out there for us all!!!!
Your kindness is a blessing..
Always,
Hope4thebest

hopefor the best
Thats why God has us here,,i wasnt exaggerating about the aqua jogging,,,i put on a couple floatys and jog in place for up to an hr,,sometimes it creates pain at first,,but within 3-5 days my legs arent red anymore,,i have flareups for the first week, but when i got home id take a xanax ,,,but the body soon adjusts to it and no xanx is needed at times,,,,,remember rsd first choice of recovery is theropy,,,my legs used to be blood red with swelling and purple mottling ,but no more,,,my ankles,,,my feet are white again and so are my legs,,,i do get some mild pinkish flares,,but not like what it was like before God blesssed me by healing me and telling me to get into the pool,,ignore the 1st couple of days, let the body get used to it,,try to go at least 3-4 times a week,,,,,,,,,,if God is doing it for me he will do it for everyone,,,,,,he is not a respector of any man,,,,,,,,holller at me if and when you want,,,,,trust in the lord,,,proverbs 3:5-6
