Default Post appointment for my daughter after Ketamine infusions

Hi Everyone,

Great news, Lindsay is doing so well today. We went for her post after the 3rd infusions and she is in partial remission. It is a beautiful Friday the 13th.

I want to explain, he uses pressure devices to measure pain thresholds and she started at 0.1 -0.4 on her heels, big toe, fingers, head and other points. Today she was registering any where from 1.75-4.75, depending on the body part. Her original starting for her RSD was her left foot and ankle, she went from a 0.1 to a 2.75. Which is huge. She was able to walk on her heels... she could hardly walk before. I can't explain the feeling that I have right now. She also seemed to tolerate the Ketamine better this time.

He said today that her RSD had spread to her hands and arms before the infusions. But she is using her arms and hands like they are normal after the infusions. She said the pain is completely gone from her hands and arms. Her left foot, ankle and leg are still at a pain level of a 3 or 4 which is AMAZING...She slept last night from 11pm until 8:30 this morning. Straight through. right now she is with her big sister going to lunch at a restaurant, on Monday her headache and light sensitivity was so bad, she couldn't even smell food. Now, she is going to eat at a restaurant.

Dr. K said that the boosters are going to bring her further into remission, hopefully, as long as her stress level stays down and she doesn't reinjure herself.

I wish you all could feel this way. I am praying for you and THANK YOU so much for your continued prayers for me and my daughter...

All my love and prayers,

Sandy

I'm so glad it went okay! I hope she continues to improve.

Sleep is so important.

Sometimes I feel that if I could just sleep long enough I'd wake up well.

You know that it is funny that you say that, because that is the first thing that I know with Lindsay if she doesn't sleep, which has been few and far between during this journey her whole day is nothing but pain and misery. She went to bed last night at 11:00 and was up at 8:00 this morning. She was smiling this morning when she walked out of her room.

I wish that I could make this better for you and everyone here. What I can do is pray for you. Much love to you and I wish you a good nights sleep tonight.

Love Sandy
