Default Anyone had a golfball-sized swelling?

I have one on my knee (same side as my rsd pain). It hurts when I push down on it, but dull pain, not stinging pain. It is not bruised. Is this rsd?

Where on the knee - front near, or on the kneecap?
side , back ?

I had a swelling/bump just below my kneecap and it was a pre patellar bursa injury. It had blood tinged fluid built up in it and then it after a few months hardened and had to be removed by surgery.

That's why I wondered about the location...

Heart

I have a lump size swelling on my knee also. It started off pretty small but has become a lot bigger. My knee also creaks and my movement has decreased a lot (I can't bend my knee much now). My PTs think I may have a condition called Femoral Patella, though I would obviously need to see a doctor to diagnose it. I have been given a break from PT to see if that helps any but it hasn't so far.

I would go and see your doctor if I was you, just to rule out any other possibilities. Don't always assume that everything is always RSD without ruling out anything else - I know most of the time it turns out to be RSD unfortunately but the first time you don't go and get something checked out, it will probably be something that can be easily fixed!

I hope you start feeling better and get some answers real soon! You are in my thoughts and please keep us posted.
