Smile My Gorgeous Santa Baby!

I thought I'd share this picture of Hannah with you, hoping it will bring a smile to the faces of those of you having a rough time at the moment...

She's six months old now, already sitting up on her own (though she sometimes slowly falls sideways! ), has her first tooth through, and chatters away constantly. She's a really happy baby and I feel so lucky to have her. If it wasn't for the success of my second ketamine infusion, she wouldn't be here.

I've been having a tough time lately. My rsd in my leg has been spreading quite quickly, and new symptoms are getting added all the time. Just a couple of months ago my foot wasn't even affected, now it definately is, and I'm getting the colour changes and swelling. Breaking my toe last week hasn't helped either- now I can't have a bedcover or a sock touching my feet, so sleeping has been a tad hard I had a magnesium infusion which might have helped in someway, but it didn't cause any noticable changes. And I tried Lyrica but that didn't help either, no pain relief, just a lot of weight gain real quick. So now I'm back to baclofen, endep and endones until I see my specialist in mid Jan. Hopefully we can add something to the mix or try something that might give me a break.

Anyway, Hannah and my other gorgeous kids, and my amazing hubby, are what get me out of bed every morning and make me smile! So I'm very lucky to have them. I hope this picture makes you smile too!

Happy Christmas Everyone!

x Kate

Kate,
I was just asking someone if anyone has seen or heard from you lately. I was beginning to get worried if you were ok or not. RSD ok that is. Our ok's & normal peoples ok's are 2 different things.

The baby is a little doll! I have a 1yr old grandson as of 12/07 so maybe we should hook em up *LOL* He is as dark haired & eyed as yours is blond & blue eyed. Hannah & Romyn would be so cute in a pic together cause they are of course so cute anyway, but with their different coloring the contrast would be KEWL. You can see him in my pic next to my post he was only about 4 months old there. I know I need a new pic hoping to get one Christmas Eve when they are all 3 here together.

Sorry to hear about the spread. I know how that goes. I have lucked out so far with only minor inklings of spread up from my feet & ankles into the lower legs, but it has jumped to my hands instead. I start SGB's on Jan 2 for them, this will be the 2nd time around for SGB's. Did this about a year ago too & it has lasted this long.

Are you having a warm spring/summer down there??? Where I live in N. California we have had horrible COLD for here. This has been so far out of the 7 yrs I have lived here the coldest fall & winter so far. This is how cold it gets this time of year in Iowa where I came from. Of course Iowa will get to as cold as -30 degrees farenhiet.

I bet your young ones are all in anticipation for Santa Claus. I know my 3 young grandsons are.

Merry Christmas Kate to you & yours,
DebbyV
